North American release was July 7th, 2000 according to SE.

I wonder if that's just the Japanese release though.

Yeah, apparently it went on sale in NA in December of 2000. FFX was released in Japan less than 6 months later and in NA about a year later. And I have an original release copy of FFX with the Hastings recipt in it marked December 27th, 2001. So I'm pretty certain December 2000 is about right for FFIX in NA.

Free FFXI campaign:
"From Friday, November 13, 2015 at 12:00 a.m. (PST)"
Didn't it start just 2 hours ago? Doesn't that make it 12 pm?
it started at 12:00am today, and it's 8pm atm so that means 20 hours ago. However it secretly started yesterday I think. I logged in just fine and haven't bought crysta or reactivated anything.
Ah, I thought you needed to reactivate your account first.

Worth the time to see how bad David Cage is as a game director.

I enjoyed it, if it's any consolation.

Of course, once the ending is ruined, there isn't a whole lot of replayability. Still, for being an interactive movie, it's quite well done.

Here's some crazy ***, Diablo III has been experiencing lag spikes for the last season. Blizzard has been unable to figure out why till recently when they did a massive stress test PTR run.

It turns out their servers were being attacked by Barbarians.

I ***you not.

The changes made to Whirlwind were not made because of concerns with balance. The changes to Whirlwind were made to improve server performance. Our server logs indicate that Whirlwind was a significant factor in server performance issues experienced by all players (even if there isn’t a Barbarian in your game). The intention is to improve server performance without affecting the power of Whirlwind.

We're currently discussing how we can get server performance gains without affecting the power level of Barbarians. This might mean reverting our optimizations, or it might mean providing alternative complementary options for Barbarians to compensate for the change. While we haven't made a decision yet, it's possible you'll see a couple iterations or different approaches throughout the PTR.

TL;DR Barbarians spamming one move was kinda DOSing their servers.

>.> Amazingly hilarious.

Diablo 2 had the same problems, sad it took them so long to figure it out.

I believe you just won't be able to use Amiibos with it.
