Since you get 3% chance to QA, you also REDUCE your chance to TA. (.9%)
Example:
100 hit @ 30% = 30 TA
100 hit @ 3% = 3 QA
Chance TA and QA kick at same time is 30/100*3 so .9% only.
Twilight(-.9 on TA) 29.1 TA(x3) + 3 QA(x4) = 67.2 extra hit
Triplus 33(x3) TA = 66 Extra hit.
3.9%(TA)*14%(Chance on 3x dmg) = .546 you do 3x dmg on 1 hit, the dmg extra is 1.638 (kinda cover the 1.2 extra hit Scenario)

For sneak attack, i also got 4k+ twice, i am kinda surprise you did that much, i always though the 2x 4k+ i did on sneak attack was due to Mandau (3x dmg hidden effect) (According to Wiki, 3x dmg can only apply to 2nd and 3rd hit, this would totally prove wiki is wrong since sneak attack is first hit of the triple attack, very interesting btw.)
and for correction, it is 3x dmg, you probably ignore or forget the miss translation from SE about the HAND+2, is not 'increase trick attack damage' but ' increase sneak attack damage', that explain your ~4x dmg.
For Rapidus, i'm not even sure yet if triplus dagger beat it... i'm still testing and debating about it.
And of course you might point how i only have 23%* haste, i just prefer have accuracy pair with TA+9% instead.
But ya this is also interesting setup here:

More testing have to be done bc from what Karbuncle said Wiki would be wrong and the 3x dmg can happen on EACH attack when 'triple attack' happen, and not as Wiki say, only apply to 2nd and 3rd attack.
Also cannot just ignore the difference if is the case...
5% triple dmg on 3/3 hit. (1-95^3) = 14.2625% chance triple dmg.
5% triple dmg on 2/3 hit. (1-95^2) = 9.75% chance triple dmg.
So is 14.25% True DMG over TA.
100/14 = every 7.14x Triple attack, 3x dmg will happen.
So look again at 9% TA setup...
mean you have 9%*14% chance to kick 4k dmg on your Sneak attack. (1.26% chance todo 3x dmg sneak attack + Extra dmg form hand)
For mandau owner is 6.26% chance.
Kill Triplus Dagger and you turn 6%*14% = .8% chance.
Few things i wanna go over in a none trolling manner.
1) The "triple damage" Does indeed proc on all 3 hits, Wiki has been wrong for a while.
2) I was fulltiming the +2 Set when performing these SA's that lead to the 4,300 Dmg one (which means +2 hands were on all the time) so that doesn't explain it at all :| (Also if you check the Hands+1 or +2 page I have commented on it from about a month ago noting exactly that :P (Enh. SA not TA))
So theres still a bit of mystery, but for the time being, I'm using 24% haste Full+2 for TP Phase atm... I like it, And i'll probably stick with it.
So far the highest non-SA Critical hit i got was 768 :Q, i like those numbers for non-relic DD D: and my shty knives.
I still have a 26% Haste build for Utsu/etc though, durp.

Same here, i do swap gear with 26% haste for utsu/ect.
Like i said i am still testing for triplus, so far it been positive effect, sad part is i don't have anyone able to parse the difference between both dagger and i am too pansy to install a 3rd party program, Ban isnt an option for me. Until my friend fix it, i am kinda walking in the dark.

@Karbuncle Yes, SE been hell nice with THF in last update, specially with that crazy 5/5+2 gear. 5/5+2 completion = Mandau power, only sad part is for relic owner, E.wep 60% DEX vs Mandau 60% STR.
For everyone that don't know me in game, you have no idea how many time i cursed bc of Mercy stroke hit for ~167 dmg, ppl on siren know, so ppl on fenrir do.
Many was telling me it was bc i was fail thf with lack of STR, and i did built full STR SET. That never made the trick. Abyssea gave me some hope with VV, but no luck, with VV (200+ STR) mercy stroke landed for 600~1.2k dmg.
the damage i am stating is 'without SA or TA' because is all another story with SA/TA, mercy stroke do awesome with SA and TA (1.5~2.1k outside abyssea) 3~4k in abyssea. Amazing huh? not really...
In Abyssea with Evis i do up to 5.7k, something that mercy fail just refuse todo, and 5.7k is without SA or TA... Apparently on last upgrade, fail mandau get 25% extra dmg on relic WS. That part kinda give me some hope, but lol? with SA or TA of course 25% is welcome, but for 600~1.2k damage without sa or ta, that a pure joke of SE.
So ya, Mercy Stroke is pure situational WS (for darkness fun, when ppl even bother to go that way)
I did not see yet Twashtar in action, but the aftermath double damage is way more interesting then 'increase crit hit' (5%) lol, and Twashtar do not have that stupid Poison... And i really doubt that new WS do 600~1.2k dmg without SA/TA. SE really need issue all relic, not only mandau, but gungnir and all other fail relic WS.

Rudra's Storm is pretty underwhelming, actually. Moreso without SA/TA, which you rarely get the chance to WS with anyway.

Rudra's storm in abyssea (With 85 Twashtar) without SA/TA at 100% tp does maybe 700-1500 (my best unstacked at 300% TP with berserk/warcry was ~3k). Much less on average than evis. However, the aftermath easily makes up for it, so I rarely use evis anymore unless my aftermath is already up and I cannot SA/TA. WITH SA/TA rudra's can easily do 3k-6k.

The only reason i disbanded from over 10 PT FP joined, and i talked ***about him, was not bc everyone told me FP was a man that was making ppl think he a girl, nor bc of his sexuality orientation. I don't give a crap about it, he can keep his personal problem.

Hmm is Ilax stubborn ? yes is he gimp and an idiot who doesnt know how to play his job umm... hell no. Obviously you guys don't get along but I have been friends with all three of you guys for quite some time now. Ilax is apart of our ls and he helps out many members, so all the talk I have heard about ila kinda makes me laugh tbh, I think its silly how everyone believes the words of others when they might not have first hand personal experiences but in all of my experiences I have had with Ilax, Gradd, and Mankey you guys are all nice to me and all experiences with u three have been positive so this silly bickering makes me sad on one hand and kinda lol at the sillyness on the other :/

As far as set bonus goes, I have 4/5 of the SAM and the set bonus imo is pure garbage. I mean wearing full AFv3 to try and get Zanshin to proc for extra damage is just sad. Then again SAM hasn't really been getting any more love since the lvl 80 update. My wep has +30 ACC on it (Lv.80 Amano) and the AFv3 itself has a large amount of ACC itself. So relying on a set bonus that requires you to miss is sad indeed ; ;
As far as the crap with Ilax goes. in the past 2-3yrs I've known him there have been numerous people to hate him for some reason or another. From EXT elitist tendencies to the random person calling his play style for thf gimp. I know "of" a few people on this thread, but I don't know you well enough to speak on you, but this guy Ilax really is a cool dude. He's helped our multiple ls's out as well as a lot of people ingame, but yet ppl still find the time to piss on him. As momo said though, this silliness of attacking someone over a game is quite entertaining in a sense.
Last note, does anyone know what the NIN's set bonus pertains too? I know it augment's dual-wield, but how?

I'd like to first cite this:

For those of you too busy to search through it, At the bottom, it implies that wearing the full set grants a bonus above expected with the previous pieces.
Elaborating, 2 pieces extends Duration of buffs casted on others under the effects of Composure by 10%, 3 gives 20%, and so on. 5/5 Expected bonus was 40%, however the bonus is 62.5%, proving, more or less, that it appears full +2 Set grants a bonus to the "Set bonus" beyond expected values.
now, With optimal gear on THF, it is possible to reach 24% Haste and full 5/5+2, (25% if you wear Rapidus, I would not), through means of the following:
*Raider's+2 Head - 6%
*Raider's+2 Body - 5%
*Raider's+2 Legs - 5%
*Twilight Belt - 7%
*Tiercal Necklace- 1%
This totals 24% Haste (About 1.4~% from true haste cap)
Now, The assumed value of Triple Damage proc on THF+2 with 2 sets was 1%, 3 2%, etc etc, up to 5/5 expected 4%, now, If its like RDM set, it means we might expect to see about a 6% Proc rate on 5/5+2, 3% more over 4/5 (Which is usually required to cap haste safely for THF).
Now i know the "Triple Damage" is not a straight mod, there is something further at work here, as with a short test on Fear (?) mobs in Abyssea-Altepa, my Average SA in my TP gear showed about average ~900~1,100 Damage (which for the test was 5/5 THF+2). Activated a "set bonus" to see a 4,300 Damage Sneak Attack, Well beyond expect "3x" Value of 3,300. Others have reported strange Damage spikes beyond the norm, so it could not be just a simple "3x" mod.
No, I know its usefulness will widely vary based on your current gear/buffs due to them having a direct impact on Triple Attack rate. I'd like for the sake of Argument to assume a 34% Triple Attack rate:
10%Base(merits)
3% Head
3% Ring
3% Dagger
15% AoA
There is also a bit to factor in current Haste (buffs/songs), Dual Wield, etc, to determine if you're getting truly that last 1% haste as well.
I'd like the opinion of fellow THFs. I have found myself in Abyssea TP'ing in 5/5 THF+2 simply for the added rate of Set-bonus rate, And it is to my liking, seeing ~600 DMG Critsx3 in succession with some luck has favored me toward it. But i often times question is validity or usefulness.
So, In conclusion, I question, Is the assumed gain of a 3% chance to 'Triple' your damage output via Triple Attack worth a sacrificing in 1% Haste value? 0.~4% if using Rapidus?
I would much appreciate any Input and discussion on the subject, as i really have no other person to ask.
(The one i did usually ask has more or less been on hiatus for a while)
