Not quite. Pre abyssea, ***SAMs could crank out good dmg because Gekko was idiot proof.

too many variables. If the crab was on the MNK full time then probably the MNK due to DoT with counters and ***, otherwise WAR.

SAM > WAR > MNK > ***DD
If you are referring to old content for "outside of Abyssea", BLU shits all over those DD jobs. Need proof? Get a good BLU and watch him work.

No I am just realistic. Also is this 2005? I have almost every job at 80+. While BLU is my main job, I also have access to all the others and still feel the same.

I think you're vastly underestimating DRG! 5hit OaT build with insane TP gain and the most powerful non-Empyrean WS which can even compete with Empyrean ones, almost permanent Angon... only thing it really lacks is red/blue flexibility.

Prove what? That BLU is a superior DD compared to almost all others on old content? Go bring a good blu to any event and watch them work like I said. Level correction did wonders for BLU dmg.

BLU's fairly hard to quantify and I admit I've never done anything formal on it, but if I had to make a decision I'd say it was probably between the 2handers and 1handers... Hasso in the Haste-buff dominated game (I mean Haste buffs still rule but we don't clamor for Bards etc as much anymore) was just way too much of a boost to compete with, especially given limited MP (given BLU DPS was never going to even approach a 2hander's).

Double marches(if two bards or three, put on double ballad also), haste, refresh2, /rdm for convert etc.
lol what you want me to take a SS of me doing that dmg to a mob outside of abyssea? What proof are you asking for, that is common dmg for a BLU and low balling too because they can be spiked much higher.
