Charged Whisker

I'm in the same predicament atma wise, and normally go between Baying Moon and Razed Ruin. I've been meaning to take note of the damage difference, but haven't really, so I'd love to know which would be the best choice!

I wouldn't call this a predicament. Ultimate is not required for a good CW setup. As a matter of fact, I rarely use it anymore in favor of Minikin Monstrosity. Do I do less damage? Sure. Do I still kill all the mobs when I CW? Almost always. If not, it's not anything that a final whirl of rage won't clean up.

The reason I favor MM is because I don't have to bother with sifting through the boxes to find a restore chest to keep my MP up after each pull. Sure, I don't get big flashy epeen numbers that I'd get from using Ultimate, but I'm trading in the style points for efficiency.

Alot of changes have been made since my first post. I'm now hitting for 5.6K on my Charged Whisker.


This is my up to the minute gear. I know there some tweaks in there but it's the best I can do at the moment. I have spoken to that taru blu who's name is Lazybo and he can now reach 6K-7K damage.

First time is a Jupiter's Ring sure its only +1 dex over your current set but the quest is fairly quick and easy to do :)

Any takes on Jupiter's staff vs. 2 INT/MAB swords? I been curious for a while.

Jupiters. MAB sword brew'd sanguine might be handy but ws dmg10% one would be better for that use too.

How would "Magic Attack Bonus+" mix in with the math of all this.

I'm trying to decide if I should replace my rings with those Demon's Rings (so far the best augment I have on one of them is MagicAttack+2 with +1% critical)

I haven't tested it yet, but would it be wise to replace Raja's in this case?

I don't know if this will be true for everyone but with my current build:


Loki is slightly better than my Mirke with MAB +4. In that situation 6 DEX > 4 MAB. Now I don't know if that applies to the ring slots or any other slot as I haven't played around with my gear options too much lately but hopefully it gives you an idea ^^.

Interesting. If this is mathematically (lol) true, then ring slots should always stay with the DEX+ mod.

how much dmg+ would af feet+2 vs+1 be in that gear set (i dont have feet+2 yet) with mm, blinding horn and lion

I don't have test data to give you Sakuhra, also the Moon Phase can really alter my perception on my thinking as I don't always monitor its status. So you'll have to forgive me as I sometimes go off memory.

I believe i've seen an increase by 500-900 dmg for having both my hands/feet +2. I should really start to log some of the burns =0

I haven't seen anyone mention this yet, unless I completely missed it.. How would Mirke Wardecors with MAB and MAC augments compare to Loki's and Morrigans?

I have Loki's Kaftan, which I most likely will be using for this when I start, but may switch my Mirke augments if getting previously said stats would be more beneficial. I don't really have anyone to run Salvage with, so the Morrigan's Robe would be out of the question for me.

Should be using burst affinity, so loki's would win. And teal saio would be better than the mirke by the way, save your augments.

Edit: Forgot the DEX on mirke, but still, save your augments.

Mirke serves me no purpose anymore, that's why I was interested in this.

Still a good fast cast piece. That's what I'd use it on before that if it was me. It'd only beat the teal barely without BA up and with BA loki's is the way to go. And most whisker burns BA is up before you finish pulling anyways.

make an EVA+Fast Cast body, then. better than SH+1 for eva, and on par with maxed out mederi.

Can someone post a spellcast rule for wearing Artemis' Medal while during moonphase 25%-100% and Kubira Beads 0%-24%?
I have a thought in mind by I'm sure it'll be fail.

It's possible, and mine uses it for noetic and artemis'. One sec I'll copy paste.

Just change the 75 to whatever you need it to be according to the wiki page for m.attack. I use it for m.acc, that's why mine is set like that.

I know a lot of people say that Loki > Teal but from my recent experience that's not true, at least for me.

My set up is Dream Flower > Sound Blast > Evervation > Memento > BA > CW.
With Loki's on my CW was doing 5996 to surveyors in abby altep. Decided to switch to Teal to see if there was a big difference (expecting teal to do less) but Teal managed to do 6001 to beat out Loki by lol 5 points but still beat it nonetheless.

I also notice some people having Pixie earring instead of Moldavite, why is that? for me Moldavite does almost 100 more points of damage.

I remember reading that there are factors that that will make numbers vary among players but I didn't really get it.

Just thought I'd give my input. If I have time, I will try to switch some gears around to see what I get.

Enervation wears fast so it's better to Sound Blast > Memento Mori > Envervation > BA > CW.
Also since Ascestic Tonic is better than Mori I marco....

This way I'll use a Tonic if I have and Mori if I don't.

If you have a SCH in party or a dualbox SCH I highly recommend Rairin Obi and Twilight Cape. Doing 7.3K on detectors and about 6.7Kish on other mobs.

Also do you use whirl prior to sleeping? I just use a terra's when pulling since I've some bad experiences with aqua wearing if i whirl first.



That's what I've been using. I've forgone the Darksteel set mainly due to storage limitations and not needing them with the lion atma. If those boots proc once a 15 mob pull I'll take 10.

I'd say the boots proc about once every 2-3 pulls for me. Obv, more you pull at a time = higher proc rate. They are nice, but I was a bit disappointed after camping that crappy ladybug for them.




I am flipping to sword and Whirling before Flower. My nuke set still needs some work though. No Lokis or Aias or Hecates.




Any thoughts or recommendations appreciated.
And for the record, on Xbox so can't do full gear swaps. I am firing 2 separate swap macros while mobs sleeping, so I know I am not fully optimizing.

If you have an Aias bonnet, thats really good fro the head, and its also a good piece all around for BLU. I would really recommend trying to get one if you can. Same goes for kaftan. I use that in both Vorpal Blade and Whisker farming. If you really want to fully optimize, you can get a Nifty Mantle for your back (+1 DEX), a Thiazi's belt for your waist(+2 DEX), and a Thunder Satchet for your ammo. I got my thunder satchet after I was done brewing a Rani, I had my group pull Cuijatender to me and killed him with Sanguine Blade. Quick and painless, no ??? needles got off (Which will kill you even if brewed, it can go up to 64k damage split among all targets IIRC).

Morrigans robe (int +8, mab +5) or loki's kaftan (DEX +11) for charged whisker under BA?

nifty has the same dex as vigilance +1 i think, loki's is probably pretty close to teal for cw (but i agree, it's nice for other things).
