People die. Regardless. You'll get over the deaths of your loved ones. We do this everyday. Some people go through their lives now without ever finding a lasting relationship. It is sad for most but it's the sad cycle of life. I doubt resentment would come to mind. They chose their way of life and can't hold anyone else accountable but themselves. Men without religious faith don't hold hopes for anything beyond the realm of death. If you were a man of faith, you wouldn't ask to extend your life.

I just don't get people who'd want immortality. Forever is a scary concept to me. To exist forever, for all time... Ugh, no *** thanks.

Granted, I'd like to see humankind explore the universe, meet aliens and ***, but that's what my TARDIS is for :)

I think most of it is because modern day humans (i.e. post agrarian society/35-40 hour-a-week-tops job investment) are so used to a hedonistic lifestyle, that they try to cram every free moment of the day in with pleasure-seeking activities.

So it is natural to hope for an extended (or indefinite) lifetime to pursue all that pr0n...er, I mean that healthy, active, pleasurable lifestyle. :p

That being said, unfortunately the human condition is also such that we all tend to get jaded as we get older, and that the "rush of passion" we get from a new turn-on grows stale the more we experience it, to the point where even the kinkiest fetish becomes "ho-hum" after a while.

Just look at Marv Albert or David Carradine...these guys were into some whacky stuff just after a *single* lifetime of pleasure-seeking LOL. Imagine what kind of weird depraved stuff has to be invented for someone who has lived 2,300 years... ;_;

Not a bad idea with the prices going up in November. We bought what the store had last month, two 12 month and three 3 month cards.

And yet... people who believe in Heaven/Hell have that very same thing waiting for them on the other side of death. If you do believe in an afterlife, then is it not the same thing? An eternity as a single sentient being. Sure death can't happen but one could fall out of the good graces of God and end up being sent to Hell thus simulating death in a way. You could potentially end up losing friends and loved ones. Or you could end up in Hell to begin with. No matter where or how you go, it's all the same in the end.

After playing Lost Odyssey, even though it gave the opposite moral, I for one actually wouldn't mind a poke at living with immortality.

Too often we weigh ourselves down due to lack of time, lack of chances, lack of opportunity and regret therein. No need for such things with endless life.

At least you can submit yourself to an indefinite coma; maybe.

I just long to know how things will change, if they do.

Also, I like mudkips and would like to for the rest of time.
