9 years, 5 retirements and 3 attempts to build, I've finally accomplished my ultimate goal in ffxi! There are many thanks to be said throughout the years, and while the importance of this has lost it's luster for it's now a dime-a-dozen achievement, I consider this more of a sentimental trophy dedicated for the many who have come and gone on this long journey of mine. Let us first summarize and give thanks to Dienamis linkshell, my first Dynamis LS who got the Attestation of Vigor and Necropsyche for me back in 2005. I would also like to thank Grand Design for helping me obtain the Tenebrous Fragment in 2009. Ultimately, there are too many people to name but this relic was built and is not solely mine for it's entirety also belongs to one of if not my best in-game / become RL brother, Seshu. Since the Dynamis Updates in 2010, we have gone inside farming currency for me and though we retired in Feb 2012, we came back 9 months later and put in 2 months more of work to finish HIS and MY relic. Again, my heart and gratitude go out to all who have been there for me during this journey and though I may not specify each one, you know who you all are! Much love and yes, I troll'd and muled back my 75 gear just for the screenshot! Had it all at 75 cap, just didn't have the weapon! #Missionaccomplished9 years, 5 retirements and 3 attempts to build, I've finally accomplished my ultimate goal in ffxi! The result of an impulse to try to obtain Herkuleskeule. Personally, I found add-burning this guy to be easier than Podarge since there's no reason to dial down the DPS at any time during the fight. With NPC's and a Fast Cast set, keeping Reprisal up is easy enough and prevents the annoying Defense Down and Encumbrance from the auto-attacks and Riptide Eupnea, respectively. To be completely honest, this stunt is enabled by the adds around the area. Were they not flies or crabs, this would be much harder if not impossible. After I finish Burtgang, I'll do this again without Trust. The result of an impulse to try to obtain Herkuleskeule. Wonders of Travel #4 [Bastok Markets]: Bastok Markets, where 10 years I began my Journey in the world of Vana'diel. Some of my fondest of memories of the game were born here. Bastok Markets, is the center of trade in the nation of Bastok, home of the humes and home to the Galkan race. Bastok, a place where the adventures of new adventurers are born. Thank you so much for the start you've given me which launched my many adventures. And Thank you to those who helped me during my early days here. Thanks and Long Live Bastok.Wonders of Travel #4 [Bastok Markets]: Bastok Markets, where 10 years I began my Journey in the world of Vana'diel. Wonders of Travel #6: Rabao: Rabao, located in the northeastern half of Western Altepa Desert is a literal oasis in the hot desert. I've travelled to Rabao many times over the years and I still feel that sense of adventure whenever I return to this place and hear the amazing music. Looking for a cool place in the middle of the hot desert? Rabao is your best bet and it's by no means a mirage haha! Make sure to come to Rabao during the many festivals FFXI has to offer and watch the beautiful fireworks over the desert night sky, it's indeed lovely. Thank you for the memories Rabao, you are still so cool. ;)Wonders of Travel #6: Rabao: Rabao, located in the northeastern half of Western Altepa Desert is a literal oasis in the hot desert. This was a proof of concept run to see if this could be further scaled to kill WoC in 3 SCs. This was our first win (second attempt, first one did benediction at 15%) with 18 people, taking us a total of 5 SC. RUN needs to have Gambit + Rayke up for every single SC (more important Rayke) to allow for all BLMs to hit 99,999s every single MB. This held mostly true (I only got 4 or 5 sub 99,999s across 3 characters) and it was during lightsday. This was a proof of concept run to see if this could be further scaled to kill WoC in 3 SCs. Decided to try soloing Golden Kist on COR, used Dancer+ Runiest on trusts, Runiest + wizard on self. Used QD to proc white during Manafont to remove the zombie aura. Had to DoT zombie once per fight. With a strong status resist set stun poison is resisted most of the time.Decided to try soloing Golden Kist on COR, used Dancer+ Runiest on trusts, Runiest + wizard on self. We finished all the then-current expansions' stories with Rachell, a fellow mithra from our linkshell. We've all remained friends since, despite years and distance. During those days, we were working "Chains of Promathia", and ended up in 'Bibiki Bay'... filled with Urganites, and occasionally discarded shells. "I just wanna go sliding down the stream in one of these shells, it looks fun!" She agreed, /em's happened, and laughs and smiles were had... Fastforward a solid decade? She remembered. And so did we. And art happened. For Christmas. And 2020 doesn't suck quite so much now. I know it's not much anymore, but I've been chipping away at it little by little during the free log in events, to have it completed feels good finally.
