I find this strange because usually people think I'm a man simply because I play a mithra. (tho I find it odd that other races are considered to be their characters gender.)

I think its just a good rule of thumb to just call someone by their chars gender until told otherwise. but maybe it would also be a good rule of thumb to not hit on a person you don't even know the gender of.
