For those who are from outside the US or don't follow football, the fleur-de-lis is the symbol of the New Orleans Saints, hence the link to Saintly Ring. The team nickname comes from the fact that one of the most catholic cities in the US was awarded its football franchise on November 1, 1966...All Saints' Day. They won the NFL champioship this past year.
