The reason why this jumped up from 6k to 25k is because dark crystal stacks jumped to 10k a pop around the update with A Shantotto Ascension's add-on.

This is so incredibly easy to make if you have low-medium level woodworking as well. Desynth a flute (purchased for under 100g from Valeriano in which ever city is in 1st place). If you have moghancment: Desynthesis you can make several stacks for extremely cheap. Without moghancment support you can pop several crystals before a successful desynth.
