Altepa Eastern Desert - Very Common
Altepa Western Desert - Very Common
Buburimu Peninsula - Uncommon

Diggers get up a lot of these, they NPC for around 200 gil each, so personally I NPC all of them, diggers would probably be willing to sell these directly to you cheaper than AH if you asked.

Farming with a level 47 BST in Altepa Desert and got about a dozen femurs/hour. Haven't tried excavation/digging
