This can drop from the Phantom Worm NM in Kuftal Tunnel which is spawned by trading a darksteel ore to the ??? that appears near the pond on the second map at (I-6),(I-7),(H-6) and (H-7).

people will pay up to 15k more for adaman ingots for a few reasons:

1) no risking a break
2) crafts other than smithing use adaman ingots
3) if people buy up all the ore and sell the ingots, you don't have a choice
