I have Woodworking 82 ONLY no subs and I can HQ these often I would say in the T3 range I would say that because crafting level caps are based on skill materials these are not above (29) The fact is that shihei require the same exact ingreedients, all you do is add a grass thread and change the crystal you're synthing with. Shihei use black ink which is alchemy (4) and these use a grass thread which is Clothcraft (2). After some testing I would bet these do not require a sub. I crafted 100+ synths, I broke a few (I break on shihei sometimes and I T3 those) but I also Hq'd over 30% rate.
I came up with this after receiving no skill ups in alchemy or cloth during those 100+ synths.
Been doing a little testing on this. @ WW 64.8 / CC 2.0. No failed Synths have occured and even a few HQs for 66 a synth. Pretty sure we can mark this one down into the lower levels. All of the other tools are on the low side, it would not make any sense to put one so far up in the skill levels.
I have cc92/WW60. I think is WW35 only, and has same ingredients as shihei except add a 45gil grass thread.
If you make your own black ink... my ALCH mule HQ 4-6 everytime, and you make your own bast the total cost of a toolbag given 36 synths>Non HQ 33x per... will be about 22,386 including bunding materials.
These are selling upwards of 100,000 gil on toolbags, and 9-10k singles, the profit margin is about 80%. If you HQ2and3 you can reach into 150-200% margin. So why bother doing shihei when you can do these, and Sanjaku-tenugi, and Shinobi-tabi? I don't get why people undercut each other selling SHIHEI at 31k in AH when u can NPC them for 29,700 (no bundling necessary)
I will try some later on my high lvl WW mule and see how it goes.
