Good god.

People were walking out of the theater mid-movie when I saw it a day after opening. And some people were literally just sliding out of their chairs and sitting on the ground in defeat at how painful the script was. I honestly had never been in that much pain over a movie's lines since the god-awful romance dialogue in Episode II.

The only way my group of seven friends and I survived to the credits was by MST3k'ing the whole thing. And I'm a pretty forgiving guy who rarely gives a negative review.

Judging from the people who got through it to the end, the rest of the theater felt the same way.

You know it's a bad sign when your epic climax fight at the end, complete with Pegasus flying in silhouetted against the solar eclipse, is met not with soaring engagement, but rather riotous laughter by everyone in the theater.

Maybe they were, but FFS, look, there are two of those listed here. Maybe they shouldn't be associating their more successful movies with debatable failures.

I totally agree with you on this.. im just stayin thats why they do it.. wanting people to watch movies that are sub par.. meh thats life in hollywood... i watched bout half of superbad.. the previews looked better than the movie itself tho.. very deceiving

Shouldn't have expected much from Hollywood, they went a little overboard on trying to make this movie "epic." I hope I'm not the only one who feels that this steaming pile of hot garbage was a little overdone. The moral of the story appeared to have taken a wrong turn and gotten lost as well; rich snobby people live, poor working people die, the black president goes down with his ship and everyone who lives ends up in Africa? Pretty assbackwards to me.
