New Message in Inbox, nothing inside?

I've apparently had a (New 1) message in my Inbox but when I go in to check there is nothing new inside.. is this a bug or am I like hallucinating every time I visit your website and look there lol.

It's a display bug. Sometimes it'll be a reply to a message that doesn't put the original message in bold, and if you click on it you'll see it.

whenever i get new messages on my other characters (like this one opposed to Cerberus.Kalyna) i don't get a display message. any way to fix that?

You do have a new one,check again. Make sure you look at your other chars too.

You should get a "new" message when your user or any of your chars gets/has a new message.
