My best bet is that the gil sellers are pissed of with the trial account been removed and are dos attacking them.
Even the site is slow, sluggish and unresponsive.

Also from the NJ NY area I have Cablevision/Optimum Online. I've been trying for about an hour and all I get is the POL-1106 error. I was fine 6 hours ago when I logged off.

same crap happened few weeks ago to people in canada on shaw cable it ended up being the isp's router were blocking ports and sounds identical to the same situation ... isp will deny it for few hours then with enough phone calls will start looking into it and realize its isp hardware issues lol
i know the feeling 16 and half hours for my damn isp to get fixed hopefully they are better in the UK then here :(

I've been revising for 8 hours and now I decide to reward myself with FF and I can't connect. 1hr 45 m ins of this crap.

They can't be blocking ports as some people have managed to log in and then they get disconnected. If it were a blocked port nobody would be able to get into the game at all.

Well the UK never benefits from anything that SE schedule anyway and calling them is no exception.
the helpline is 0870 600 0182 but they're closed :(
I wanted to rule out my internet connection (seeing as all POL-#### always imply I'm to blame for any errors) as the problem but no luck :(

I moved up the road to my friends BT internet connection and it connected first try no fails based on this I would say its definitely virgin media, 25 attempts at home and 1 attempt at a friends BT

Whilst being on virgin media might be a common problem this doesn't seem to be isolated to the UK so I'd rule it out as VM's fault...

Only thing I notice was that it was a bit slower to log in, I got some network whatever message at first, but then no problem. I seem to get that network message every now and then anyway.
