Been playing rdm since 'nam but I have always wondered what determines whether or not a nuke breaks the bind? I'm not talking about duration, but whether or not it is broken by damage

Its clear that a groundskeeper has a much higher chance of bind staying on after a nuke than Despot does but what causes this?

I believe it's purely to do with level difference. I too see nukes not breaking Groundskeeper Binds a lot but I can't remember a single instance that Zip/Faust/SC/blahblahblah haven't had their Bind broken when I nuke them. Lower level NMs however exhibit behaviour like Groundskeepers.

Yeah seems to be more lvl based and something else. Like maybe general weakness to magic?

Like I once did sewer syrup and got like 11 chainspelled Blizz3s off for over 1k each before it broke lol

Hmm good question not sure its easily answerable, ive binded a ***ton of mobs followed by nukes in the past its pretty rare as blm for it to hold after a nuke. And for blm imo there isnt much to play about with in terms of gear to try different builds its genie legs head af body enfeeb torque oracle hands etc etc, we cant sample int heavy builds without losing alot of skill. Mobs that have no MDB traits or shell up or are weak to ice wld most likely be your best mobs for seeing bind hold after a nuke. And of course lower lvl mobs.

Buffalo floor 2 in Apollyon is one mob I repeatedly see bind hold for nukes as blm and bugard floor, Zlartorg has remained bound for a few nukes off manafont as has Pluto. Shouldnt ever plan for a bind to hold after a nuke though by which I mean gravity should be up anyway too. Highest lvl mob I see with a nuke done after bind with it still holding is Seiryu, quite rare im sure.
