Hello, seeing as FFXIAH seems to be the most complete database with items and their stats I was wondering if you could populate a xml-file with all items and their stats for other developers to use.

I'm specifically looking for all the foods and their stats since I'm completely rewriting and updating: http://darkani.brinkster.net/foodcompare/index.asp

perhaps this can be taken one step further and making the raw data for sales and Qty of items on AH per server available as well. There have been plenty of times where I have used Microsoft Excel to watch for certain items however since the change of the site to the dynamic tables for item sales excel won't import table data without making it jump through some serious scripting hoops.

I use MS Excel to watch Quantity of items I'm looking for, however have found that some of the price information from aggregate item pages can be seriously misleading. Having this data available would allow users to process the raw data in a way that's beneficial to them as well as make it available to them offline as well.

Thoughts?

To add a bit more explanation, the actual auction house data is essentially our site's "product." Item data, on the other hand, is already available elsewhere. It would make little sense for us to give our only unique product away. =)

First off thanks for the XML dump. I'm paranoid enough not to use 3rd party apps, so obtaining something like this through polutil's was kind of out of the question, and nobody really has released something like this elsewhere.

Anyhow, if I develop anything funky, I'll throw you guys a PM see if you want to tag along on it. Regardless, anything I do dabble with, will have full links back to you guys. It's not like I'm going to go off and make some large rival site... geez I don't have time to update most of my current projects as it is *shakes fist at FFXI*

Sweet, thanks for the xml (21 megs, holy crap).

Now I can link to your items directly instead of my ghetto URL string that busts the +1 items.

What's <type>? Some food is 7, some is 3, some spells are 7 ... Is the AH category not in there? Didn't notice it at first glance.

Thanks again, I hope to be able to use this.

My apologies for the necropost, but I am looking for updated versions of ffxiah_items.xml, icons.tgz, and mini-icons.tgz. The listing on /dev is now out of date and the icons still point to kingbehemoth which is no longer your image host. :( If I could get the updated lists and icons that would be great! I'm currently working on a meld between the itemstats forum addon used on many WoW forums and your ffxiahify script.

I'm in the same bandwagon as to developing a profile page for my Linkshell members. How often are your /dev files updated? Either case, thanks for XML file! It's been very helpful.

Can someone explain the integer in the <jobs> tag? for example... Scorpion Harness has:
<jobs>751590</jobs>
somehow that represents
WAR MNK RDM THF PLD DRK BST BRD SAM NIN DRG BLU COR DNC

Also an explanation of <races> would be useful for the same reason.

the file is empty now @ ffxiah.com/dev for the XML, the icons are still available. It shows they were updated the 14th of June, but the XML has no <item> fields inside the <ffxiah> field.

It should be updated.

The jobs field is an integer that represents a bitmap. Each bit corresponds to a particular job.

751590 == 10110111011111100110 (binary)
Code php
$jobs = array(
        "10"=>"WAR",
        "100"=>"MNK",
        "1000"=>"WHM",
        "10000"=>"BLM",
        "100000"=>"RDM",
        "1000000"=>"THF",
        "10000000"=>"PLD",
        "100000000"=>"DRK",
        "1000000000"=>"BST",
        "10000000000"=>"BRD",
        "100000000000"=>"RNG",
        "1000000000000"=>"SAM",
        "10000000000000"=>"NIN",
        "100000000000000"=>"DRG",
        "1000000000000000"=>"SMN",
        "10000000000000000"=>"BLU",
        "100000000000000000"=>"COR",
        "1000000000000000000"=>"PUP",
        "10000000000000000000"=>"DNC",
        "100000000000000000000"=>"SCH"
 );

// Example using bitwise operator & (and)
foreach($jobs as $bin => $job) {
  if (bindec($bin) & 751590) {
    echo $job
  }
}

I'm assuming you use POLUtils to get your information, could be wrong about that though. I assume someone developed a parser to parse its XMLs and produce yours... Not really an issue but something I noticed is that for some items in the description you are missing a space (or line break) either way would work. For example in POLUtils for the item Ridill it has a line break after the delay: 236. Your XML (and on your page that has Ridill's information) it says "...236Occasionally..." missing a space/line break.

Thought I'd point it out because I imagine it would be an easy fix if my assumption was right about yall parsing the files form POLUtils.
This of course is only for the English translations, I'm not sure about the other languages.

(Another item is Staurobow with the exact same issue, and differences in the 2 XMLs)

Thanks for supplying everyone with your XML, it saves tons of time :)
