YouTube Video Placeholder I know the posts in this thread have been mainly console or handheld games, but it's ok for an old MS-DOS game to get some love right? rearrangements of FFXI's BGM; I felt the need to post it after seeing the SS :)
YouTube Video Placeholder Can't forget Yo! Noid! I really enjoyed this game since my childhood

YouTube Video Placeholder The Salt Flats. Goosebumps every time I listen to this. YouTube Video Placeholder This plays in my head sometimes when I visit my city's downtown. It's also fun to play on a keyboard. YouTube Video Placeholder Sorry for the VII spam, but something about this particular track makes me feel very much at peace. Quetzalcoatl.Wulfie

PLEASE READ: I want to give a brief description why this song is so amazing. I am currently a 2nd grade Special Needs Teacher Assistant. Some of my students suffer from extreme ADHD and can't sit still or pay attention for more then 5-10 minutes and usually get into a lot of trouble and then are sent to the back of the room to sit with me and do their work as punishment. I always have my phone playing music really low on shuffle so I can listen to music as I grade papers or do my other responsibilities. So one day 3 of our most overly hyper students were sent to the back with me to complete their work. They were still being disruptive and uncontrollable for the most part. Then all of a sudden Corridors of Time came on. And IMMEDIATELY they calmed down and started doing their work. Not a single word was spoken amongst them because they loved the song so much. When it was over they asked me what song it was and I told them "It's a song from the greatest video game of my time, Chrono Trigger." They asked to listen to other songs from the game so I played them Gato's Song after they completed their work as a reward/victory fanfare and they loved it. That's the power of Chrono Trigger's music people. Enjoy it. Love it.
The remix of it has Chrono Cross scenes it for whatever reason but it does go together nicely anyway. YouTube Video Placeholder

I know a silly meme gif is a shallow response, but nevertheless, an accurate representation of my reception to reading this and listening to the song thereafter. Bravo, good sir. With that said, I give you all Singing Mountain YouTube Video Placeholder Around 20 seconds in is where I really love it. YouTube Video Placeholder Xenoblade Chronicles had a pretty incredible soundtrack thanks to ACE+ and Yoko Shimomura. One of the best collaboration efforts I've seen in a long time. I really need to get myself a Wii(U). Quetzalcoatl.Wulfie

I know people hated the game because it wasn't a "True Paper Mario Game" but nevertheless I had fun with it. A battle system based on inventory was strange to me too but you learn how to utilize everything you get and it works in some way.

This is a brilliant and amazing soundtrack for a mod of all things. Try some of the sample tracks. I made the full purchase myself, and amd constantly discovering I like new songs in it. The Biolizard Fight in Sonic Adventure 2.
YouTube Video Placeholder This song really fits the mood of the fight and the recent events of the story involving Shadow. Side note, I don't understand why people have such a hard time with this boss. I have this game on Dreamcast, GameCube, and PSN and i find it very easy. I hear people complain about falling in to the water but if you watch the floor you notice the tiles of the outter rim are a dark color so its easy to know when to jump... But whatever... Just beat Chrono Cross again. I can never get tired of this battle theme. Probably my favorite song in the game next to the opening and ending themes as well as the standard battle theme~

YouTube Video Placeholder YouTube Video Placeholder Gives me chills every time. Here's a dose of goodness to satiate your CC fixation Wulfie.
I always try and seek out live performances and outside renditions of game music, as it swells my heart up with joy to see greatness take on a plane of passion and recognition outside the TV screen. YouTube Video Placeholder YouTube Video Placeholder Think I got tears of joy halfway through the first track in the medley on the second video (┳Д┳) |
