Jeez, strict schedule lol, I still never got into HNM's and don't even bother with endgame anymore. I have sea and never did Limbus, I have a Kirin pop still, but no sky shell, no abyssea shell or anything else.

And even with a bloody dagger, its STILL cute.

It's not bad, really. Given the maint. tomorrow, we killed everyone on pop. inb4 AV get's changed so we can't kill him anymore. -_-

They're doing maint? And changing AV why? o.o Whats so wrong with killing him that they have to change it? ><

The same thing that was wrong every other time people figured out a way to kill it. It isn't there super secret special way they want us to figure out. And yeah there is maintenance and I wouldn't doubt it isn't AV patching

Note to self, don't use Taru's to do a circumcision, which thankfully I don't have to decide on ever >.>

AV was never designed to be killed this much, more like PW is, with the rare killing by only the most organised players. It was meant to be a feat;, not a science which is why they gave it souleater resistance in september 07? 08?...

I've never done AV so I've never had the pleasure in killing it >.>; I give it a week before people figure out the new way to kill it, if they adjust it.

Nah, people try it more often these days and are quick to want to do something, so I say a week still.

Usually takes longer than that. It's been patched what like 3-4 times so far to make it impossible to kill with whatever method was being used at the time. And once when a way was found before anyone actually implemented it lol. Each time it was at least a few months before people found a new way. Often it was using new jobs or jas/spells etc.

I give it at least until a couple of weeks after the next lvl cap increase

Well we do have a new lvl update soon and new JA's/spells/etc, so I say when that happens, if it hasn't before, they'll find a way to kill it then. People are so anxious to do something new or find a way around things these days, that nothing lasts long before its figured out, written about and everyones doing it.

By the way Khim, since you're a slacker about posting in here and staying updated, its a boy, due December 31st and I should be asleep lol.

Of course by then AV wont really be worth the effort as everything but the chakram will be outdated if it isn't already

SE originally wanted AV to be killed by 'locking' his 2-hours. Throughout the battle, he'll use every 2-hour in the game minus ToAU/WotG, and Mijin Gakure. And in some rather nasty combinations once he obtains Bracelet Mode, like all Aerns.

Anyway, after a 2-hour is used, you are given a 2-3 second window to quickly follow it, thus disabling it for the entirety of the fight. If you watch the Developer's Video, you'll see him 2-hour and the video zoom in on the chat log showing 6 or 7 people 2-houring shortly after.

The main method of killing him lately has been Perfect Defense, taking little to no damage for the entire fight. This was not how SE intended him to be killed.

I've had some really smooth AV runs, and some really "lol" runs. Most recent one, he decided to Invincible at 1%, then Benediction. With Bracelets out, he gains a very high damage defense, this is commonly referred to as him raging. After his Invincible/Bene, he used Chainspell and Manafont. While under Manafont, he gains access to Comet and Meteor.

My Linkshell has watched another EGLS fight him. Once, we've cleaned up after them, giving them a drop from the pool. The 2nd time, they got screwed over with a Perfect Dodge/Benediction combo.

We've had a few runs where he Soul Voice'd. While under that, he can charm multiple people. But, we still killed him.

Anyway, really, people think that the only quick way to legitly kill AV is by illegit means. Using 3rd party programs to recognize certain text and responding to it by using the cor-responding 2-hour.

Maybe they'll give us something new to play with, to make up for him not being worth it >.>

People are only killing it more, because of the update that drew attention to it, it was the same when DRK zerging it got gimped. If SE keeps patching it, so it's only possible to do it their ONE way, I have two theories: One, there really isn't a reliable way of doing it, and they got extremely lucky because it seems like they never had to deal with meteor. TWO, they actually WANT a small amount of the drops in circulation, but want to cut off the supply before enough get in to make them even somewhat common.

It really is. Takes a lot of co-ordination. The fight can go entirely smooth, and one wrong 2-hour combo, you're ***. Whether that be Meteor spam, which can kill an entire alliance and everyone outside of it in range, almost instantly if not instantly, or Benediction.

It was proven, beyond a shadow of a doubt that AV's 2-hrs can be locked, but I also have tried to edit it multiple times on wiki, and keep getting reverted :( Someone else do eet!!
