That's kind of the spot I'm in. I'm MtF pre-op, so I could actually have my own, but the problem therein is either doing it with my girlfriend before the operations, freezing some and doing it after, or adoption. I'm open to all three, though just not so much the first.
I'd def prefer it to be any time after the op's, absolutely; it's going to be hard enough to explain to my younger cousins why I'm a girl and not a boy anymore, let alone my child seeing pictures of me holding them as a guy then talking to them as a woman, yeah. I could do the first if absolutely need be, but it's a last resort option of sorts. lol

Need money (well, more money) first, I haven't bought Abyssea or any of the other add-ons yet, XD. I'm lucky I can afford to play. I'm hoping to buy it next week, though. Meantime, it's Besieged and Campaigning quite a bit :D

Yeah, that's exactly it. I got lucky with my ex, her siblings all met me as a chick, so I had no worries about them not understanding, but my cousins, it's def a hard transition. It'll get there though. :)

Which, when you think about it, you'd think it'd be about half and half: kids are still learning, so from the get-go, they seem more likely to adapt, or would adapt more easily, while adults have had so much more experience that they've likely been exposed to it -- though, the downside with adults is said experiences may or may not cause prejudices, bigotry, opinions, etc., which kids haven't yet had a chance to develop functionally.
