i can't help but think that running into xbox 360 limitations isn't nearly as far down the road as running into ps3 limitations

YAY im gonan get on my PS3, just because the ps3 is high def blu ray and my pc isnt :x Id like to see how pretty ff14 will be on my high def 1080p tv rathe than a tiny computer monitor without blu ray :x

With all due respect, I don't think you can compare the 'PS2 limitations' to potential future limitations of the 360. FYI, this is coming from a PC fanboy, I don't own any of the current gen consoles.

I didn't see a single indication that 14 was coming out for XBOX360. All I saw was that if you pre-order FFXIII on PS3 or XBOX360, you'll get a $10 credit that you can use towards 14 or any video game purchase.
I would also like to add given that FFXI does not require XBOX live Gold, I doubt that FFXIV will require anything more.

lol They're going keep this quite until after the release of FFXIII. xbox360 users could get the official word out when E3 hits this year, and this isn't the first time this has happened btw. Star wars the old republic and Star wars battlefront 3 suffered the same fate xD

Weather its a delayed or simotanious release i wouldnt have aclue about.
And an MMO wont push the limits on either system, theres just to much data to be used @ once to be able to push the Graphic specs.
Only issue that may come up, is the same one with XI, and thats the 2 networks clashing.
360's FFXI freeze issues have nothign to do with the actual system, its the fact that the game has to go through 2 networks.
Either way, more audience the better, stop fighting over which console is better and cheer for XIV over WoW. Geez were all on the same *** team -.-
