AH Fee Calculator

Rather then trying to integrate fee in with the price on the item pages or user pages a simple AH fee calculator would be in order.

Perhaps a very simple page where you plug in the price you are planning to sell an item at. Also you would need a checkbox to say whether or not it is a stack.

The page tells you how much it would cost to sell the item from
(Jeuno / Nashmau / Tavnazia Auction Houses)
OR
(Al Zahbi Auction House)
OR
(Aht Urhgan Whitegate Auction House).

If you really wanted to fancy it up you could list out
(Item Cost) - (Listing Fee) = (Net Profit).

This might contribute to more people realizing Al Zahbi is cheaper, perhaps lowering a bit of congestion in AU-WG.

But what if Al Zahbi's AH manager gets kidnapped? Then we're SoL, amiright?

But seriously, the math isn't too crazy. I wouldn't mind something like this, but if the gross profit is small, I bazaar it instead of wasting the profit on AH fees.

i recall an admin saying they couldn't do this. i forgot why though...something about bandwidth maybe?

Littledarc, I don't recall any admin saying they can't do this. However admins on several occasions have said they will not incorporate it into item pages, character pages, ect. I don't recall bandwidth being the problem. Also a similar issue is raised by admins in the sticky.

just redid it quickly to show all auction house prices side by side like op requested. makes a lot more sense now.

The stack fee for Al Zahib is incorrect. It is useing (item price x .05 + 400) when it should be useing (item price x .005 + 400).

Now if you can give the code and permission (and you should get credit on the page. And the FFXI admins can change the format so it matches the rest of the site. Then add a link on the left Nav, it would be perfect.

For a full working version, you should add the possibility of selling 99 piece 'stacks' as well.

i do not see any %s posted on wiki for the 12 vs 99 stacks. if someone can provide me with this, i will do it. right now it is doing this:

Jeuno / Nashmau / Tavnazia Auction Houses
Single item fee = 1% of the seller's asking price +50 gil.
Stacked item fee = 0.5% of the seller's asking price +200 gil.

Al Zahbi Auction House
Single item fee = 1% of the seller's asking price +100 gil.
Stacked item fee = 0.5% of the seller's asking price +400 gil.

Aht Urhgan Whitegate Auction House
Single item fee = 2% of the seller's asking price +100 gil.
Stacked item fee = 1% of the seller's asking price +400 gil.

Other Auction Houses
Single item fee = 1% of the seller's asking price +1 gil.
Stacked item fee = 0.5% of the seller's asking price +4 gil.

I think it would be enough if the you could just see the AHWG fees for the current average price. That gives you an idea of the "max" cost involved to list it and thus profit.

But damn, I never knew Jeuno was 200 gil cheaper than WG AHs.
