Mars Volta isn't really my style of music but that is pretty damn good for a long song. Most ones past 12 min. tend to drag on or go dull.

Yeah, it's a real hit or miss with them, but Jesus, their drummer is like an octopus and their guitarist is from another talent with his skill.
This is the one big gem by them I thought was worthy of sharing. The others tend to be really obscure and lengthy. Most volta songs have me going "WTF am I listening to?" 5 minutes into it.
lol I posted the longest song I've heard so far a few days back on this thread but I'm sure it was overlooked... (I honestly think most songs here get overlooked sadly. lol :/ )
I think Iron Butterfly has most of us beat.

Ha, listened to the whole thing. Not a bad way to spend an hour. Not a bad way indeed. I rather liked the 35~53ish minute part, and the ending before the sleepy time music box with the baby giggling and the funky electronic beat was sort of cool. Didn't like some point in the late 20s early 30s where some chick or whatever was wailing or whatever. Bleh. Other than that though, totally worth a listen.

Only flaw in the song imo (though it still holds meaning), I have an edited version where I cut off that part. :P

IDK if I had posted this song. May have but it was a song written to raise money to help pay for treatment for a local firefighter who was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. Unfortunately he passed away today. :/
