The Gadjits -- Bullet in the Mattress
Ska is so upbeat by nature, that it's odd to hear themes of infidelity, spousal revenge, murder, etc. without it seeming like almost a parody-song (although exceptions do come to mind, like Special AKA's "The Boiler".) Then again, I suppose there is a niche there--Reel Big Fish's entire song library is filled with sardonic/black-humour-type themes/subjects set to upbeat ska rhythms. ^^;;
I'm surprised--you once told me you didn't like Metallica, Spicy. ^^ Glad you found some you enjoyed--they did change a lot over the years, anyhow. :)
