Yeah maybe a new way of thf farming lol. Though I bet I could pull out higher numbers on say ACP mandys for single target lol. Hmmm I even got a koggles to do this with lol

I am not from seraph!!! And yeah magical ws don't work with SA or TA.

So time to do a little math. If I had 119str and 133 dex (my normal thf/nin base stats with basically the best gear possible for this+ attack food).
Using kogglemander for a swd (43 dmg)

And assuming capped Cratio(which caps at 2)which would put min/max pdif on crit to be 2.58 and 3.0 respectively

And capped fstr which for koggles will be 12

And Circle blade is ftp of 1. And 35% str mod

Damage = (( D + fSTR + WSC) * fTP + DEX) * PDIF

(43+12+(.83*.35*119)+133)*2.58=572
(43+12+(.83*.35*119)+133)*3.0=666 (lulz)

Per mob

Also this kinda does go down with lvls. While the decrease in the stat mod lvl correct factor kinda balances the lower str. Dex will still go down alot for SA dmg. You'r Cratio will most likely be lower especially fighting anything higher lvl than you.

I haven't tested with THF, but I know Souleater only activates on the mob you have targeted when you use an AoE WS.

Bah Nm window back up. Well after next kill will do it right away lol. Already laid the ground work though. Calculated min/max dmg with the gear I will be using for it, for SA as well as non SA both crit and non crit. First one fell right within range but ran out of time. Making sure to /sam next time since tping off stuff I 1 hit is kinda ewww

Well I'm doing lvl 0 mobs percisely to cap everything (cratio acc fstr) to make the only variables SA or not, crit hit or not, and then making sure I cap Cratio so pdif will be between 2 easy to calculate points.

Damn right I will.

I already SSd my stats and the first SA circleblade... more to just prove it fell within range. Doing the math luckily high pdif non crit is just higher enough than low pdif crit hit and of course SA low pdif blows all non SA ones out of the water lol. So that way I will know exactly what kind of hit they all did. Because of that I don't plan on doing a rediculous amount of samples lol. Bah probably should look up mob types and stuff too so I don't mistake any +/- dmg to slashing.

Ok so testing now. Similar assumptions but using my actually stats which per this SSs are 100str and 108dex.

So dmg should be between assuming no triple attack/misses (I'm killing double attack now)

(43+12+(.83*.35*100)+108)*2.58=495 or 216/132 without SA crit/no crit
(43+12+(.83*.35*100)+108)*3.0=576 or 252/201 without SA crit/no crit

First ones seems to fit for SA dmg on single target

Now for SAhide ones

Though the calculated SA ws were slightly higher sometimes(perhaps they changed Cratio caps slightly or the new pdif formulas slightly off), I think it's safe to say no the other hits didn't get SA bonus dex dmg or even crit hit

AoEing anything lowers the drop rate for all mobs but the one you're targetting by 90%, far from an effective way of farming.

As far as drop rates go, they follow a fairly strict divisible scale.

Drop rates can be one of these tiers:
1/1 (100%)
1/2 (50%)
1/4 (25%)
1/8 (12.5%)
1/16 (6.25%)
1/32 (3.125%)
1/64 (1.5625%)
1/128 (.78135%)
1/256 (.390625%)

That is to say, if you had an item such as Beehive Chips from LV0 bees, which I believe fall under the 1/4 section, and you used an AoE WS or -Ga spell to kill them all off, your current target will be affected by TH and will have no change in drop rate, but the ones killed by the collateral damage will drop two tiers and not be affected by TH. Essentially, this lowers the drop rate for a 1/4 item to a 1/16 chance, or by 40%, not counting the influence of TH.

Tl;dr version, TH doesn't work on mobs killed by AoE and their base drop rate lowers two tiers.

@Ent wtf you getting this info? You look up droprates on stuff not too long you will find ones that aren't anywhere near any of your numbers. And I have friends that AOE farm on blm/thf. It works great for them. By your reasoning you'd have to kill 4times as many(not counting TH concerns making it even more) to get the same amount of drops. People wouldn't aga farm if that were the case
Seraph.Josiahkf said:
Are any of those attacks without AoE SA? you would see much less dmg if so
The first 3 are SA CB but only hitting one mob. And the last 2 you can see are SA hide CB as you can clearly see 1 mob taking damn near 600 dmg while the others are about 134-202. Which is exactly within tolerance on non-SA non crit hit from that assuming small round errors and such.

What is this hybrid ws you speak of? Circle blade is purely physical. In fact I don't think any of the hybrids AOE

I've also played around with SA hide blu spells too. Also main target only
