It looks amazing.... I can't wait till FFXIV comes out..

I currently play FFXI on Xbox360..and since they aren't making it for xbox360 I am going to have to buy a completely new and better computer (cause my current one sucks) just for this game.

I like how the characters are more closely detailed so they seem more real. The new malboro is scary as heck xD

Fresh start. I still hold that FFXI was the real FFXIV beta. At least it's a good long Game-filled road to FFXIV.

It's unlikely that FFXIV will pop before XIII but how long after March is the main question.

I am thinking a fall launch is likely, since they were shooting for a longer beta period than they had with FFXI. I think we will have a better idea once people are increasingly added onto the closed betas.

Hopefully my Combination of an "Average" gaming PC and extreme Veteran status in FFXI is beneficial to Beta Selection. I plan on getting a BehemothPC before FFXIV is retailed, but since it's logical to assume they would need the largest possible Mid-line PC configuration base to optimize the game against, that's the one I spec'd for the application.

Looking at the new game and the jobs, I don't know how I'm gonna like it since I'm so used to FFXI, chances are I'm either gonna love it or hate it with not much in between. I just hope I can do dark knight type jobs in future expansions. And calling the races by different names is gonna kill me for a long time, if they were going to rename them they should have just made whole new races, since they seem to do that with most FF games any way.

I <3 the new BGM playing on their website. I think I might have to buy their OST this time.

I honestly cannot wait for this game and I pretty much know I will more then likely switch (as much as I know alot of my friends will hate me for that) depending on my money situation by then I may continue playing both, but unsure.

Needless systemic changes, some superficial, others...not so.

Those name changes, while Lancer and Archer are improvements over Dragoon or Ranger, gladiators...are..meh...

and pugilists...

I don't understand how no experience levels is needless as well as no auto-attack being present. I'm pretty excited about all the changes they're making. If it were just FF11 with improved graphics... what is there to get excited about other than a pretty (but exactly the same) La Theine.

Personally, I don't want to explore the same exact world, or play the exact same combat system we've grown accustomed too. It's nice to see they're keeping some things, like the races however. The change with jobs and the job system is quite different and we'll just have to wait and see how all that works but I like the fact that crafters and gatherers are getting their very own jobs now.

But, to each his own, I'm sure FF11 will still be around for those who don't like the change after 14s release.

There's a small section under Pugilist and Gladiator with descriptions of weapon types for those that didn't notice. Nothing special, just totally didn't see til now, and thought I'd share.
