http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=t0Uc2WHATXcUm-xaOCbo25A&output=html First 30 seconds are fairly accurate, 60 second duration is assuming you get curebombed. Basically Mkris > Ridill > Bzagh. Offline

Whats the parse results for these weapons?
Volume said: Whats the parse results for these weapons? Bahamut.Raenryong said: Volume said: Whats the parse results for these weapons? Over 9000. Note that I've used 1900~2000 HP as the baseline and pdif=1. Changing those figures won't affect the hierachy but it will affect the overall damage. The %s are accurate though.

Yes, it will. It's only like a 2k difference in a zerg.

Thanks i saw, its like 1.8k difference.
Kraken club is obviously hands-down the winnar, the others get a little more colorful in debate, and all possess roughly the same potential because of the delay floor.
Ridill is the easiest to use to maximum efficacy. It requires no merits, just simple zerg setup. It also does not have the drawback Bahamut's Zahgnal has, which I'll get into in a second. Mkris is Argued as better than the Ridill, but again, there is a Delay floor. Mkris is what you use if you have little haste gear. I always felt it's activation rate wasn't particularly astonishing however. That could just be bad luck chains though. Bahamut's Zahgnal is the easiest and/or Cheapest to get. But requires the most effort and time to bring up to par with the Ridill and Mkris. It requires Desperate blows to have 4/5 or 5/5 points purchased. (it's a hard, call, 5% more haste or Dark Seal for a Drain II depending on other merits) and in battles that last 30seconds or less, the Zahgnal is AS good as the Ridill or the Mkris. After that 30 seconds however, when Last Resort wears, is where the weakness of the Zahgnal becomes apparent. Fortunately zergs rarely last over 20 seconds of combat. And even after the Last Resort wears, it is still a fairly formidable weapon. In summary, either one of these are a respectable placeholder til the Kraken club. And honestly, unless someone is just going to hand you a club, there is probably nothing you can do with a club that can't be done with the other 3. Delay floor? Explain.
In the first 30s, Zaghnal is still ~10~18% of a KC's damage behind Ridill/Mkris respectively. Offline

Sorry for all the nub drk questions, but i was banned off KI for posting an inappropriate picture(long story lawl), so i can't look up any drk guides cause im IP blocked.
But whats the max amount of dmg converted from HP(cap)? I know 12% w/ souleater jse body. But is the cap like 2k hp? or 2.5k? or no cap? Also does that cap include drain2 max hp boost? Just trying to get all the questions out of way before i ding 75 from smn burning. Since im only lvling drk for my ls to be a zerg drk. I know haste acc hp and multi hit weapon obviously. Just trying to get all the mechanics down lol It just drains 10/12% of your current hp, so if you drain II beforehand your increasing your damage. No hp cap from what I know, as a body boost in nyzul with over 3k hp makes for some nice SE numbers :).
But what do you mean 2k diff between ridill and kclub in a zerg? its like, 15k. Offline

The parse results from above spreadsheet it said it was 1.8k dmg more than ridill.
Quote: Total DMG: Ridill - 22096 Mkris - 23890 Edit: This was from the /nin parse, the /drg one was alot more. Basically Mkris > Ridill > Bzagh. Hmm, why do all the one handed weapons start off with less than full haste, while the two handed weapons do not? DB 25% Magic 43.75% and gear to make up the rest? Because a 1 handed welder can only reach more than 68% (25+43) when they have a DNC giving haste samba (which takes it up to 78).
2 handers get desperate blows and hasso (niether of which work with a 1 handed weapon) so can always cap haste (for 30 seconds, after than last resort runs out). Noting of course that Haste Samba doesn't work with Blood Weapon before anyone asks why I didn't include that :p
A few other questions.
Food: What food are you eating for each weapon? Obviously accuracy is a BIG deal when you Zerg, but at what point/weapon is it safe to switch to the all mighty carbonara for its extra souleater boost? Also can you provide a mild gear breakdown? Delv to 72, get an octave, be uesful, get kraken, reding 75 and become more useful.
If you are doing it right you shouldn't need any (or much) acc at all.
Feint and double SV acc songs (maybe acc rolls too) should give you pretty much capped hit rate with any weapon at all. So Carbonara is nearly always the best option. If you lack support then maybe a sushi would help, but normally if you lack support you shouldn't be zerging. A standard setup for a 1 handed weapon is something like: Weapon/Januwiyah +1//Happy egg Turban/Cougar/Cassie/Intruder Gloom/Homam/Bomb/Blitz Gigant/Swift/Homam/Homam Throw in Wyvern earring/shield when /DRG. Fenrir stone when applicable. Obviously you upgrade a some of those items (and down grade too) as your budget allows Carbonara always unless you are unsure about your buffs, in which case any of the sushis is good.
http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/wiki/Dark_Knight:_Guide_by_Raenryong/The_Dark_Knight_Zerg To blow my own trumpet. A lot of new items not added since I quit, but it's pretty much up to date. |
