is there literally ANY real use for having the BLM/SCH/SMN set? Maybe one piece of it is BiS for SMN but without any Magic Burst on any of it, does it have any use on BLM or SCH?

It's a marginal upgrade for free nukes, but that's it. No one free nukes things so this set currently has 0 value in the game.

I noticed the Indomitable legs has Avatar's Favor +1, which allows it to reach another tier. The set looks as if it was only made with Summoner in mind.

If you find a good deal on a normal quality, id say go for it if you can spare the gil.
I don't know, imho they shouldn't have taken the cursed gear path with ex result. If you could have resold lower quality tiers after transfer it would have ensured NQ and HQ1 pricing to stay pretty low.

I looked at Clemency/Grace/Mercy set again and realised I made a mistake when saying it has Quad attack, as it only applies to the pet

The QA is not for the pet, it's for the master.

This has been talked about to death in the SMN threads, the consensus being that avatar's favor tier doesn't reduce BP timer, so it's not particularly impressive, though maybe not useless. The other pieces are somewhere between marginal increase to totally useless for SMN. Hands seem the most promising, IIRC. If they made it to focus on SMN, they *** up.

Yeah, I looked at it again and noticed my mistake, lol.

And wow, that really sucks for Summoner. It has needed new gear for a long time.

It's ok, they blew another load of sugar coated gold dust up RDMs *** to make up for it.

"needed"?
I dunno man.
I mean, SMN needs job adjustments for sure. Wouldn't say new gear is the highest priority the job needs, but that's just me xD

the lack of gear isnt helping it, they've been pretty keen on limiting its avatar dmg and pushing it for support/utility but also not really making the support side all that much better. Bit of an odd spot but thats pet jobs atm

I'm torn cause they finally put WHM on a DD set, shame GEO couldnt get itself in there, since its also moving more towards the club side of things if only cause GEO lacks much native versatility, or that the nuke set isnt much of a nuke set and is just kind of average overall

Yeah, I mean, would it have been such a blasphemy to put GEO on BOTH sets?
One thing they haven't been doing the last few years and that imho they SHOULD have done, is putting some jobs on multiple sets.
I've said the same about Bunzi and Agwu, RDM and SCH should've been on both sets, not just one.

They could also simply make another set that fit a jobs needs better than the existing ones which would be easier on inventory.

I'm not deep into the lore but afaik ark angels are sky territory, not sea. I don't see the need to restrict yourself to the ark angels and therefor limit the amount of sets.

SE is completely contempt with ultima/omega/whatever 100% clipping thru walls now. Either way, they clearly don't care anymore so I don't buy the whole lore accuracy because of immersion anyway.

I think the jobs grouping for these sets was exactly that though: Ark angels jobs.
Of course there's way more jobs than the AA jobs so they had to be creative but the base, the core from which they started is exactly that, the jobs of the AAs.

5 Sets, 5 AAs, each AA has (at least?) 2 jobs. That's the base. Then the new jobs were put in there the best that they could.

To be fair overall I think it works and it's a peculiar, original, different from most sets groupings. Personally I like it and I'm happy with it.
But at the same time it's a shame jobs like GEO cannot benefit from the Sworn set which would've frankly been a very welcome addition to the extremely limited options GEOs get for DDing.

Using the same example for the Odyssey sets. Agwu was the "magic damage/burst" set and Bunzi was the "healers" set.
SCH and RDM fit both those roles so it was quite a shame they weren't on both sets. It's not the end of the world of course but personally it left a very sour taste in my mouth.

If you would put jobs on sets based on role they can fulfil RDM would be on everything, while many jobs would be on one. It wouldn't be fair either.
