I just realized my Prishe Boots and Null Masque still have the erroneous message.

The only fixed an extra n in one of the new armor sets, so they probably should have used a singular there.

"perfectionn gauntlets" -> "perfection gauntlets"

The concept of singular/plural functionally doesn't exist in Japanese, so that checks out.

JP Twitter saying if your party/alliance did 100% of the NM HP,in their case was WHM NM, you only get 10% of the progress bar. Oof

I read the update notes to mean the progress bar at max was 10 chests. Who knows though

If killing one NM lets your entire party open one chest, sign me up when they fix the DT issue.

Yeah I'm going with the JP twitter post's expectations. It looks like you'll need to kill about 10 NMs (or deal enough damage on 10 NMs) to get enough Unique Data to open one chest.


It probably is, because the points never reset, but it's not 10/wk. Just you get cumulative points so you can make progress towards extra boxes throughout the course of a VU month.

Anyone have an estimated parse of what the CN NM's have for HP?

I believe the fomor's have around 7 mil HP, but I'd have to double check it. This might also vary by job (ie: MNK would have more)

I think i remember someone saying we did 10-12m as an alliance last night (and got a full set of data). Posted this in the limbus thread. That was about 2.5 or so CN NMs' worth of health, give or take.

Did Apollyon and Temenos NMs last night. Ended up with just over a bar of data after each area. Was one main alliance and just a few others participating. . . so basically there is a bar and change of Unique Data in there to be split among the participants. One very notable thing is you get no progress while dead which is unfortunate given the design choices of these NMs. The little 0 at the end of "Unique Data" flipped to 1. Took that data to a chest and indeed I was able to open a chest without the temporary items and had already opened 5 chests this week. The 1 at the end of my "Unique Data" bar flipped back to a 0. It's unclear if the Mannequin NMs will give data, but one preliminary report on Twitch of somebody doing 15% damage to one did not see a single pixel in their Unique Data bar but more information is needed.

What did you get from the chest? Was it the same reward as opening the chest after getting all of the temp items?

How many NMs did you do per area? Sorry, the bolded statement isn't clear. Was it one NM or several?

It was all three of the Tier 1 NMs in the CN zones (Worm, Mantis, Turtle in Apollyon; Ixion, Alicorn, Aern in Temenos).

It was exactly like opening a chest. 3k or 5k plus materials. Some characters got just the guaranteed shard. Some got 5k and loads of materials. And the cap went up by 3k to 513,000.

At what point does it cross over to mental illness?

Wow. Well I did ask for them to add any reward at all to these NMs. I guess this does count as a reward.

Hopefully they tweak this a bit. I'm fine with needing multiple NMs for a chest, but if it takes 10+ for 1 chest that seems too harsh.

This is enough to make me care enough to do them so I'm not complaining too much. Just weighing it against the EXP loss which makes it a bit harsh.

So looking at the amount of unique data people are getting for NMs, what's the total possible amount of additional chests per month?

If it takes 10 12 fomor NMs to get a full bar, that's 2 additional chests, Tier 1 and 2 NMs are an additional chest each and I assume Ultima/Omega have enough HP if you do the majority of the dmg to get chest there as well (maybe one of the smaller servers will chime in for this info)

So that's up to 5 additional chests per month! And one of them being an guaranteed 5k chest

You'd need to deal 100% damage to 12 fomors for a free box. How much damage needs to be dealt to CN mobs is another story.

ie: they could have a higher damage multiplier for the bar the same way mobs from dynamis have different values.

Yes, I know its kill based in dynamis, just saying the fomors could be 1x multiplier, tier NM's could be 1.1x dmg multiplier, etc.

How do DoT's work on the NM's? is credit given to the pt/ally who puts the DoT on it or is that damage lost to the void?

You can get like 1 free chest from wave 1 NMs alone. 1.5 from wave 2 and probably 2 from Omega and Ultima.
