Looking for Twashtar farming tips (Abyssea)

Just finished my Glavoid entirely via box farming, loved it far more than dealing with procs. (Got like 30 Chloris Buds, too. Was very lucky with more Glavoid KIs than Chloris from the boxes.)
Build amber either on Bhumi (ideal, especially if you get lucky and get a 128) or on the Nauls at Conflux 3 (the same ones used for Zeni, avoid Cuelebre unless you have a plan for it) until max (255).
(edit: Bhumi notes: there are 5 in the zone, respawn time is 15-20, I have no idea what triggers them to respawn. The one with ID 170 I saw all of once, but 171-174 were showing up like clockwork. I thought it was killing some specific trash mob, so maybe it's one that doesn't drop anything anyone needs for Empy?)
I didn't build blue on purpose - just opened reds to get to the top time-extension-containing from reds once the campaign ended, but you could if you wanted I guess.
Caoineag at Conflux 4, while they do stop to cast, are all in a small area and sound/blood aggro so you can just run by them to pull them. They were my preferred cleave target, though sometimes people who aren't cleaving want to kill some to pop that NM so I didn't always take them all. Failing that, the nearby Canyon Scorpions sound aggro, just wider spread territory.
Once you have all four KIs, pop over to Glavoid, maybe pull some worms on the way back and cleave those too. Sound aggro is so much better than sight aggro for big pulls. Chloris's nearby Pachypodium friends don't aggro, or they'd be fine too. The scorpions are champions because they track scent. You don't have to slow down to pull them all.

I hope you were multiboxing this if you were cleaving for pops.

I hope you were multiboxing this if you were cleaving for pops. you give me a lot of credit!
Shoutouts to Asura, the server where I will never, ever try for timed NM spawns if I can avoid it by literally any method. I bought probably 75% of my Sisyphus Fragments off the AH and I'm going to either cleave chests outside campaign or throw gil at Ansherekh the same way for Amarok.
The scorpions are champions because they track scent. You don't have to slow down to pull them all. If they weren't so spread out I'd be way more in favor of them. Caoineags you just have to dodge some plants rather than deal with hills and all that.

Finished my Twashtar! Kept an eye on Ansherekh the whole time I was in the zone, but between Asura having AH supply at 300k/Hide and cleaving the Surveyors at Conflux 8 (the raised area where Rani is), I didn't need to farm as many as I thought. Probably cleaved... like 5/40ish Hides? Not as many as I had feared I'd have to.
(You can cleave the Surveyors forever because they [almost always] die in one Aeolian Edge hit and avoid giving amber light. Melee the one straggler who resists every few cleaves down and get pearl instead. Shoutouts to the poster who mentioned them, I have no idea who you are but I'm pretty sure it was someone on this forum at some point? The other mobs I tried didn't consistently die in one NIN/WAR Aeolian Edge.)
Cleave was 0 lights. Literally nothing but pearl and as much ebon as I built up in the zone. Any amount of amber pushed me into the tier 5 pyxis range way too fast.
Sarabha's drop rate is frustratingly low too, and I honestly ended up getting that hide that from an amber pyxis at least once when I was aiming for Ansherekh's hide. We take those!

Pretty sure everyone does surveyers (ulegrand and altepa and grauberg). Just like everyone does chigoes. And Flies.
There's always only one best mob.
(miseraux has 2 crabs camps, orobons, raptors, frogs, clusters, orbs, bats, flies, colibri, lizards, it's such a good zone!)
Couldn't spread em out among other zones eh, ***. Miseraux so good and the other 5 visions/scars all suck.
Hi all, so I've got about 25 scales so far but haven't touched Glavoid or Orthus yet.
Summarising my strategy, but please lemme know if I could do it better or if you can add any tips, (also don't have abyssite of discernment unfortunately yet):
Glavoid
Atma = Suneater (STP) + Persistent (STP)
Jobs = THF/WAR, not sure if better subjob exists but I won't need procs for this if I use chest drops.
Strategy = Aeolian spam and farm gold chests - this campaign could be good for it maybe. Could use some tips for boss, I hear it's a proccing nightmare or something similar of that note. (Searched glavoid in the forums and mostly saw posts from 2013-ish so maybe there are good ways to kill it now. Seeing some talk here.)
Izpatl Scales
Atma = Suneater (STP) + Persistent (STP)
Jobs = NIN/WAR, wonder if can get away with THF/??? with fewer red procs.
Strategy = Kill 2 NMs like usual, and the timed one, red proccing them all. Spawn, have TH2 hit and kill final NM.
Orthus
Atma = Suneater (STP) + Persistent (STP)
Jobs = NIN/WAR, seems like too many NMs to not red proc.
Strategy = Kill NMs like usual and hope the TH2 helps cause a double drop. Didn't see if this boss has any annoying mechanics.
Thanks! I find this part of the farm the most challenging and patience-testing so would appreciate all the help I can get from experienced dancers here.
