Q5. How satisfied are you with the current state of FFXI?
I've nearly accomplished everything and theres not enough endgame activities for me to do anymore. There isnt enough alliance-style content to do casually with my Linkshell anymore, as Odyssey and Sortie have been strictly 6 man dedicated static groups. Also theres a large number of jobs that are very undesirable or weaker than the top jobs who could use a little help or rework.

Mounts (Odin's Sleipnir),
Empyrean Weapon upgrade materials,
Impish Box (should always be available),
Exemplar Point Rings,
Beitetsu/Riftboulder/Pluton Coffers (They are EX and cant be sold)

There are WAY too many outdated and obsolete campaigns. Remove them or makes them permanent to make space for more modern ones.

Sortie should be more friendly for more players. I feel as though it has pushed alot of the population away from the game. Allow us to store KI's more easily, as the current Ruspix plate system is much worse than the Omen Canteen system. The +2 earrings are FAR too rare and when they do drop, they roll Low way too often. If you dont intent to change the drop rate of high rolls, allow us to upgrade them with Stones. Give us additional uses for our excess Ra'kaznar Sapphires/Starstones and Hexahedrites/Eikondrites/Mesosiderites. Either exchange them for Gallimaufry or use to upgrade earrings, Or buy more boxes. ALSO, the RoE's you added to sortie should be weekly or Monthly similar to the Vagary RoE's
The 2 most recent Master Trials (August and Bahamut/Chaos) need to be adjusted... they are Heavily over-tuned, and the majority of the community has given up attempting them, deeming them impossible. I've done all previous master trials, and the Dagger was a great challenge that was very difficult, but not impossible.
There needs to be more Peach Power style fights, tied to exemplar point camps, as well as MORE camps. On Asura, the existing camps are way too crowded. Make us go to the lesser traveled areas such as Carpenter's landing and fight unique mobs for exp. The biggest problem with exemplar points is that the amount of points you get from general play, such as doing the main End Game content like Dynamis, Odyssey, Master Trials and Sortie, are not rewarding at all. If i go back and help new players beat Vengeance 25 bosses OR a Master Trial, I should be rewarded with a large chunk of Exemplars (500k+?). Doing 8 months of Sortie has barely put a dent in my exemplar bar, but i'm doing all the hardest bosses and they only grave a few thousand exemplars at best.
Additional Scenarios are the best part of the game, even if they take a few years to roll out. The Voracious Resrugence brought a ton of players back. Even if its short, such as A Crystalline Prophecy, a new questline with a carrot on a stick at the end of it would be very exciting.
Jobs like SMN NIN THF PUP have started to see less and less play and could use a rework. SMN could be tuned to be more buff centric, make Odin/Alexander permanent mounts that have unique Avatar Favors that compete with Cor/Brd such as a Store TP one.
PLEASE, adjust merits so that ALL merits can be unlocked, for both weaponskills and Job category 1 + 2.

I'm realistic and I realize with the current Dev Team, asking for full expansions is unreasonable.
Please revamp more old content. you can reskin mobs or zones however you need as long as theres things to do and items to chase to entice the players.
Dyanmis-Dreamlands Divergence, Dynamis-Northlands Divergence; These can reward other stuff than regular Dynamis, such as Accessories, Currency (Gallimaufry, Moogle Segments etc) to diversify endgame.
Limbus; This can reward materials to upgrade Ambuscade gear to +3 (stat lines in line with Empyrean +3 gear), bosses can reward Unique items/weapons, as well as Accessories that serve as a 7th Ambuscade set bonus item (Waist preferably, or earring)
Legion could also use an update, new boss rush with new rewards. You can just add more reskinned mnosters, with the same sytem.
Endagme content no longer rewards any crafting materials used to make anything useful. This negatively impacts the economy and dissuades players from crafting. 90% of Su3+ gear has fallen out of favor due to the modern Sortie/Odyssey Gear. Allow materials to drop to stimulate trade/sales, and have those materials used by crafters to create items that will be viable alternatives or niche best in slot pieces.
Is it possible to make Augmented items storable such as Ambuscade capes? Playing multiple jobs is very difficult to manage inventory, even with all 8 wardrobes.
Again, Please allow us to max out our merit categories, Weaponskill + Job catergories. You could also increase the maximum amount of merits stored so you can do multiple HTMBs in a row without having to re-farm merits. ALSO allowing us to expand the Maximum Merit Points category much higher (up to 200? from 45) so we can farm HTMB's effectively.
Most Job Abilities shouldn't be on 10minute timers, and could do with being brought down to 5. Even if its a new piece of gear we have to chase to allow us to achieve that.
More Blue Magic would be fun to chase, although I'm sure theres limitations of the # of spell slots coded into the game. Blue Magic Duration + gear needs to exist in the game.
There could be one or 2 new HTMB's a year. A great example of a mob and zone that's extremely underutilized is Provenance and Provenance Watcher. Bahamut's original fight could have a HTMB as well to get modern versions of classic items like the Bahamut mutli-hit scythe, SMN Staff and tank Mask

I Truly love this game. I come back to it periodically and truly consider Vana'diel my other home. I'm forever greatful to the dev. team for continuing to work on the game and give us plenty of things to do in this world, as well as take our feedback such as with this survey.
I really believe that this game is worth updating and keeping the servers alive, even if they could be condensed again. With the popularity of FF14 and the new 11 themed raid, I'd love to see and help new players.
Lately, many 3rd party groups have created private "Classic" servers @ the 75 era, and I believe Square Enix wouldn't have to fight against these people who are passionate about this game if they created a Classic Server of their own, similar to what World of Warcraft recently did.
Other than that, I think maintaining more transparency with the players and having more discussions with the community, ESPECIALLY not neglecting the NA/EU playerbase, is really important, and I hope you continue to improve on this end.
