Universal Healthcare - A Dane's Guide to WHM gear

Apaldri said: » Or wear the cohort body with the 3 bunzi pieces and wear mizukage neck for 33%? Wearing a seshaw cape could bring that up to 39% but I remember a discussion I think on the blu forum somewhere some time ago where a certain amount of magic atk. bonus is just better to use then being overly concerned about capping magic burst damage + when it comes to certain equipment. An alaunus's cape is probably not worth ditching over a seshaw am I right? Depending on your merits and which nuke is being cast the relic legs(banish) or feet(holy) are your BiS pieces if you're above 3 merits into misery or solace respectively. Its +5% dmg per merit so 25% at 5/5 Earring would be friomosi i beleive Sorry I'm late to the party, I've been away also. Hygeia Clogs +1 help for vanilla milkshake players. I also do not use GS.

I also use them and also play WHM without GS, just curious what you mean by "they help" because they could be in any number of sets. I personally don't use them in my midcast set, though I suppose you could. I think they're excellent in precast, and I actually have them in my idle set on WHM for non-GS-WHM purposes I've discussed previously. Curious to hear what you meant. I use them for my all in one fire fc set.

If so, does it hit 80% FC for non-healing spells? If not, shouldn't you put FC in foot slot instead of healing-only FC? If it it's 80% FC, what's the 18% healing-only FC for? This is my heal only set, because I haven't quite ever gotten precast sets to work on my system. (I'm bugged maybe?) http://www.ffxiah.com/item-sets/384229 Non-heal is a totally different matter. Sorry I was on my phone last night and couldn't really put in detail. For healing I combine FC and Cure cast time to hit the 80% cap. I apologize if there was any confusion. But I did want to contribute that I also don't use GS, and I like you calling it vanilla milkshake. I'm honestly not sure what you are trying to do here. why is yagrush in this set? if its for cure spells. I get you dont seperate between precastcast and midcast, which is fine. but i dont see how yagrush helps in any stage for cures you are sitting around 26 Cure Potence + cape (10%) Why not put in a daybreak for cure potency or a chataoyant staff for curepotency and extra weather bonus, or even a quellers rod? 2 of the above is pretty fast and easy to get Ragnarok.Gennss said: » because I haven't quite ever gotten precast sets to work on my system. (I'm bugged maybe?) You should take a look at my post, linked earlier, about how I do cures. It, alongside my discussion with Dane, will probably help you quite a bit. I also play FFXI vanilla, though I've never called it vanilla milkshake personally. It has some challenges and restrictions but I don't think casting cures in the same set as the precast is the right solution, personally. Take a look at what I do, I think you'll find it's a better compromise. Here are my idle and cure sets. ItemSet 397563 ItemSet 393695 Sample macro: /equip body "Inyanga Jubbah +2" /equip neck "Clr. Torque +2" /equip head "Piety Cap +3" /ma "Cure IV" <t> /equipset 52 <wait 1> /equipset 51 Where 52 is the cure DT set above and 51 is the idle set. Casts cures in max potency while also casting them as fast as possible (-80% casting time) with no command errors or issues in base FFXI. Sneaking a text at work :p Alright, lets talk my set: Piety Head -15 Cast time Fanatic Gloves 7% FC Witful Belt FC 3% Ebers Pants -15 Cast time Hygeai Clogs -18 Cast time +15 Potency Neck +10 FC +10 Potency Medicant Cast time -5 Potency +5 Nourishing Cast time -4 Potency +6 Cape 10% Potency Sors Shield -5 Cast time +3 potency Incantors Stone +2 FC Sums === Cast time down 62 FC 22 Potency 49 The Yagrush was there as a stand in. sometimes I solo on whm, so changing weapons isn't as helpful. Are there any lorg morg / Sublimation substitutes for taking that 1 dmg per tick? I'd love to make a play at finishing it, but it really is more helpful incomplete. As for using equipsets as a precast set, I didn't know how to do it effectively, I will definitely try to implment that as it gives those opportunities to streamline precasts in general and add cure pot 2 -Gennss Cure potency isn't the only stat you can include in a midcast cure set.
The most obvious one is cure potency II, of which my set has 20, though there's also DT, I have 50% PDT, -enmity, which in my set is capped, and conserve MP (I don't have a ton, but squeeze it in where I can). Your set is...fine...but I think you're making a lot of sacrifices you don't need to. That said, my setup does require some FC and/or healing magic cast time reduction gear in the idle set to work, so there is that. If you're meleeing and want to have specific gear in your melee set, it will cause problems. Though...you could just cast your cures slightly slower, it's not make-or-break, the setup would still work. Either way, I'd encourage you to aim higher with your cures especially in group settings, if you do that, because hitting 50% cure potency is merely the beginning.
