The tp gain is amazing, sometimes you get too 2k tp in 3 attack rounds and everything just melts to 60-80k Cross Reapers. If that doesn't kill it the instant 1k follow up entropy will. I used to use calad but it was slow and overkill. Switched to liberator but getting aftermath up was a pain. SU5 is full time insane multiattack. You just burn through mobs, love it! Best trash mob weapon for farming. Great for dynamis too. Sub /drg obviously, don't be a gimp... Offline

I meant Gaol, where you don't have access to subjob, so there is no issue which is better XD Everyone knows that sub DNC is the best option, so you can cap delay reduction without using Hasso and kneecapping your stun recast times. Are you guys even trying?

Ohh great idea, best benefit is you can still use Naegling! SimonSes said: » Quetzalcoatl.Tomasello said: » SimonSes said: » Just play DRK only in Odyssey Gaol and problem solved. Hasso caps delay reduction when you use the superior sam/drk combination, bro.

Are you guys even trying? Hasso doesn't cap delay reduction... Do you even DRK bro? I mean neither does Haste Samba. It's almost like my post was a joke. Like this thread. DRK/WAR best sub though, because 12% DA which can proc on your weapon skills, the OAT from Su5 can't improve your WSD at all. Plus it has 513 delay, SLOW! A joke thread..... Filled with harsh truths!

There was none of this haste capping, delay capping nonsense back then. You got your Haste 1 and said "thank you, sir." Then proceeded to miss 3 attack rounds in a row while munching on Mithkabobs. Offline

Quetzalcoatl.Tomasello said: » This is meant to be a safe place for your to console each other and rationalize why it's okay to do inferior dps. <The story of a Dark Knight named Kutz> Once upon a time, there lived a mighty Dark Knight named Kutz. As a renowned fighter, Kutz fought countless battles, until his best friend betrayed him and killed all of his comrades. The betrayal weighed heavily on his spirit, and a deep sadness settled within his heart. Kutz found himself descending into despair, the world around him seemed colorless, devoid of hope or purpose. Seeking an escape from his pain, Kutz stumbled upon an establishment shimmering with lights and filled with yells of excitement: The Gold Saucer Casino. Drawn by curiosity, he stepped inside, hoping to find a temporary distraction from his grief. The interior of the casino was a realm of flickering lights. The atmosphere hummed with anticipation, and the air was thick with the scent of possibility. Kutz hesitated for a moment, but he couldn't resist the allure of chance, the promise of escape. He exchanged his last remaining coins for chips and joined the games. For a moment, the weight on his shoulders seemed to lessen, Kutz became immersed in the world of gambling. In those moments, the casino became his sanctuary, shielding him from the harsh realities of his past. In the casino, he learned that gambling is not solely about chance and risk, it is also a mirror that reflects one's true self. In this place of high and lows, rather than relying solely on chance, he utilized the skills that he had acquired as a Dark Knight: a sharp mind and strategic thinking. He observed the patterns, calculated the odds, and placed his bets with purpose and intention. Miraculously, luck seemed to align with his newfound skill. Kutz's winnings began to accumulate, not just in terms of chips, but in a renewed sense of self-worth and purpose. Through his success, Kutz started to rebuild his shattered confidence. He has found a new path of the Dark Knight. Which echoed in his mind: DRK/COR ftw. DRK/COR ftw. DRK/COR ftw. Ragnarok.Primex

Just imagining some poor soul starting FFXI for the first time, or a returning player from 2006, wanting to start DRK, asking people in game for guidance, and being directed to this site, encountering this thread.. and not realizing..
poor ***. "Cut My Life In To Pieces, This Is My (Last Resort)!"
This thread makes my emo soul cry salty tears. Can't we all miss weaponskills at crucial moments and get along, no matter what the sub job? I miss the days when we all pulled together like that weird family at the end of the road nobody wants anything to do with. LOL at suggesting this forum has actual usable guidance.
95% is absolute rubbish... "DRK/SAM is still a good combination!" *Barf* Cerberus.Kylos said: » Can't we all miss weaponskills at crucial moments and get along, no matter what the sub job? Good *** times... Now we have people who can't use a calculator Ragnarok.Primex

I've been gone too long. just trying to understand why /sam is garbage. This is a safe place friend... No need for disclaimers. Parsers mainly. Spreadsheet for gearing (10/10 the python dmg calculator if you haven't used it yet). It's just stupidly obvious, I really don't understand why this is even controversial. Use both subs, see it with your own two eyes. Gear your jumps sets, time your last resort for engagement, it mops the floor with /sam. Premaster levels, it might of been worth it still. When we're all hitting cap damage eventually then the stp from /sam might become relevant again. Until then /drg is king. ALL hail the king of DRK subs!!!!!! These nonbelievers don't deserve you! There was a time when WAR/SAM (post hasso update) and NIN/DRK (HNM days) were ridiculed too. I'll test it out. Just hope gearing for /drg doesn't mean I need another mule to hold my junk. I'm running out of names.
Got a link to that dmg calculator por favor? Ragnarok.Primex said: » There was a time when WAR/SAM (post hasso update) and NIN/DRK (HNM days) were ridiculed too. I'll test it out. WAR/SAM for two-handed is better imo because WAR lacks any native job ability haste unlike DRK. For naegling WAR, /drg only. |
