5*1.68 = 8.4 though right?

You are correct.

I find PLD pretty fun on Aminon. Had my best parse at 477k two nights ago. Sure I could stand there and heal but the min/max is engaging like most jobs.

Also what is everyone's Meso luck like? We went 1/2 and now we are in the 1/15 range.

@Taint if you don't mind sharing..

I made an Excalibur to add some dps to our aminon hard mode runs, but my ws average is generally a lot lower than this (like 12-15k, sadface)

Are you using a standard KOR WS set to hit these numbers? or including any Subtle Blow? (I'm currently mixing Nyame r30 with subtle blow sakpaka feet/hands/accessories)

Are you using attack food? (I've been focused on accuracy)

My PLD is ML30 so I imagine that could be a factor, but any tips to up the dmg would be appreciated

That's Normal Aminon.

My last HM I averaged 26584 with 400k total damage. (Just under 6min kill)

Thanks for the info, it's actually super helpful. If you don't mind: who's on which job in the screenshot? I have some guesses but would be interested in knowing for sure.

Another one if you don't mind: when you time your runs (under 6m) are you starting the "timer" when you pull Aminon, once you start doing damage, or some other time?

We've been doing a lot of thinking about our setup and how we could be better, trying to make comparisons against other groups to see who could do better, and maybe why.

Can someone explain me their experience when feather comes out on aminon?

We were cruising, but feather popped out, couple death running around, don’t really know how to handle it as we (I for sure) rarely seen it and usually just warp/wipe. But the bard proc-ed it (look like regular D/H but x5) and then you have to heal it?!? Anyway ran out of time/luck/rr/…. But doable, only PLD/brd were left (Aminon was back to dark mode I guess?!?) and so didn’t make it. So if someone can explain to me their experience, that’ll be great.

We recovered a couple of times from our first HM Aminon Attempts, when he used a TP move, raised his wings and fetters started to pop.

How did we manage to "reset" it? Well I think it was about using nukes of the same element of the fetter currently out? If you're fast you basically reset it and from there you can recover and start back with Absorb-TP cycle.

If it takes you too much then more fetters will pop and at that point it's kinda a wipe and that's it.

Someone (presumably PLD) holds him, everyone else runs away. Cast the element of the fetter, it will take 5~10 nukes (which will be healing him). After this, he will use Bane which kills everyone in a short range, maybe 10-15'. This puts him in dark mode. Make sure threnody/frazzle are still on or are replaced, start absorbing, and the tank needs to get up and get stoneskin/phalanx/etc back on it and get hate back.

Then it goes back to the normal fight essentially, though you may have to chill on the damage until absorbs look normal and the tank is stable with stoneskin and all their necessary buffs.

Just an fyi PLDs make sure to keep your Adenium Pot in the MH and swap second ring to Eihwaz/Warden as Shadow ring should already be on for those juicy Resist Death procs on Bane.

We've never gotten the seal since using this strategy (because it's useless) so it always kills us when he uses Bane, but yes, seal will prevent the death and turn it into a full dispel and weakness. That would make a recovery much easier to come back from.

It's impossible to get hate right away after pld receives doom. I've tried it with a flash > invincible > sentinel and he'll ignore you.

Cor is the tank after Pld goes down until hate is re-established and depending on what HP% it occurs it may require a logout from the Cor. Pray Dia is wearing off soon for a Stymie sleep or a bind to buy time. Have had one run before where that was required to save the kill as Cor was close to capped CE/VE in the sub 10% range.

New? Info on breaking Ixion's horn.
YouTube Video Placeholder

Posted before watching the video; not much new as far as I can tell, though interestingly he mentioned the effects of the metal which I've personally never seen discussed. Seems it removes en-stun/en-gravity from his autos, which is...not nothing? Doesn't seem worth it most of the time though.

i've some how only gotten wind hands since consistently breaking the horn, but i definitely havent had gravity. I agree its probably not worth the time invested unless youre ending on gartell and have 3-4mins left to find ixion and not much else.

I'm sure there are more details/specifics, this is just what has worked for us so far.

Occulty? Full of Store TP otherwise? Power Search > select job > description: store tp

ItemSet 353162

Hands and feet can be malignance if you don't want to aug merlinic. The feet are worth wasting some time on because of the FC and conserve MP but it's not a huge difference. Store TP cape.

GEO has an ammo if you want to fuss with it and combatant's torque/crepuscular earring. Otherwise the same.

GEO can add mallquis chapeau +2 Edit: I'm dumb... can't use head.... lol

I also tend to do bathy choker +1 instead of STP just for the subtle blow bump

Necro Bump

ItemSet 396946

I was going through wardrobes and realized my old volte gear could get a little more life. 48 + 5 = 53 total subtle blow.

You can do the same sort of thing with DRK if you use one. Sakpata Hands and Volte tights if you happen to have them from BRD or maybe RUN. You wouldn't use the spats though since the empy feet are good.

I don't think GEO gets anything extra past rings, neck, and earring

Just needed a place to put this Dhartok info

Used a Sortie run today to find the maximum number of clouds Dhartok can create. As theorized here in this post, the maximum number of clouds that can be placed is 16.

This is the best angle I could get.

Dhartok can still use Cesspool after all 16 have been placed, but no further clouds are created.

Edit to resize monster image

Luna - what are you doing that is generating TP faster? I feel as though I can get off plenty of WSs, but 19 WSs from the DNC and 10 from the RDM, 9 from the COR in 4.5mins is extremely quick (at least to me).

Crooked 11 tacticians
11 (or as best as you can get) Miser's roll
Frontier Sodas
icarus wings
fully tuned regain idle sets (maxed out STP, regal gloves where possible, etc.) The more STP in gear you have when aminon hits you = more TP return you get.
Maxed out Impact occult acumen sets
COR maxed out STP on quick draw set

For DNC specifically, optimal use of random deal / wild card / random deal (again) for reverse flourish and climactic flourish.

For reference this is my DNC Regain11 set (when an 11 roll is up which is always for Aminon)

sets.idle.Regain11 = {
ammo="Yamarang",
head="Turms Cap +1",
body={ name="Gleti's Cuirass", augments={'Path: A',}},
hands="Regal Gloves",
legs={ name="Gleti's Breeches", augments={'Path: A',}},
feet="Gleti's Boots",
neck={ name="Etoile Gorget +2", augments={'Path: A',}},
waist="Reiki Yotai",
left_ear="Dedition Earring",
right_ear={ name="Macu. Earring +2", augments={'System: 1 ID: 1676 Val: 0','Accuracy+16','Mag. Acc.+16','"Store TP"+6','DEX+7 AGI+7',}},
left_ring="Roller's Ring",
right_ring="Chirich Ring +1",
back={ name="Senuna's Mantle", augments={'DEX+20','Accuracy+20 Attack+20','"Store TP"+10','Damage taken-5%',}},
}

Sweordfaetels+1 has more STP than Reiki, Aurgelmir Orb+1 has more than Yamarang, Ainia Collar has more STP than JSE neck (though IDK if people want to carry it around for just this purpose).

What's the missing augment on your back piece? Extra dex/acc are missing there, I think. If this is a dedicated cape, I'd think you want to remove the DT-5% on it. If it's a normal TP cape, you probably want to add a stat from dyes.

All valid adjustments for sure. The cape was a dedicated terp am3 cape that I just never threw dyes into.

Interesting, haven’t bother with STP in idle set, will tweak that for sure, just not sure how much I get on GEO or RDM as they cycle WS/cast pretty much non stop. Got to help a lot for BRD-COR-DNC, even the PLD might be able to tweak couple piece. We break 6 but not 5, and that 1 min is exponentially harder to grab, back to the drawing board.

Awesome question from penpenn and thx Luna for answering so well

Also what is everyone's Meso luck like? We went 1/2 and now we are in the 1/15 range.

Funny you said that, started hot with 2/2 and now 2/??? lol

I hope you all managed to get the rest of your mesos, if either of these groups see this how many runs did it take in the end?

funnily (frustratingly) enough our group also went 2/2 and haven't seen one since, are now at 2/11. getting disheartening!

one of our members got their 2nd stage 4 after the first two, with spaghetti code as it is i'm starting to worry that they cancel each other out!

We've had people with 3+ stage 4s and still got mesos with them in the group.

We just finished around round of 4 mesos, it took maybe 10~15? I wasn't counting but it seemed pretty darn quick. It is pretty random though, I was recording for a bit a little while back and had it at 6/15 before I stopped recording, but for our first set we were something like 4/22 I think...
