Remember that any drama is from 1-2 people and don't let it sour you to making content, videos, guides, artwork or whatever else.

Lots of people that never say anything enjoy and are grateful for what you do. It's all too easy for one person complaining to convince you the everyone hates you and what you're doing and that isn't the case.

It's easy to make content for World of Warcraft or something, because you can get tens of thousands of people watching and contributing to it. Making content for smaller games is more of a passion project and helping people who like what you like. To be completely honest, FF11 would fall apart if not for the people making all the guides and content for it. The game is near unplayable without them, so it is important.

Someone that puts 10s of hours into a video, editing, recording multiple times etc wants more people to see it. Don't get mad if they ask for people to share, sub, like etc.

Also keep in mind that our outlook on what a good amount of people watching our content is skeweed by social media norms, I made a video a while ago for ff11 that got 2k views. I put over a week into it and at the time I thought that kind of sucked. Put those 2 thousand people in a room though, and that's actually a lot of people that saw it and that were hopefully helped by it.

Not... really? I like the BG people, but we're not tied to them like we are to, say, Guildwork. BG and AH exist completely independently of each other. Funk's got a purple bar, but so do like 7 Windower people.

worst part bout Datsik is that he keeps running out of range for BRD songs in dynamis. Bet his streams and vids are filled with him running around with just 2 or 3 songs with a BRD chasing him.

i have no horse in this race & funk/chia are the ones with final say regarding wiki matters, so this is my personal opinion -

my take on it is that, on a video where you do everything w/ text, you could've likely summarized your outro in <10s, but you chose to do verbal and somehow extended "thanks for watching, pls comment/like/subscribe and i appreciate donations" to a minute

don't know if that's how you usually do them or wtv, but that probably would've been enough to circumvent spicy's gripes. other people throw their kill strat videos onto the wiki and i don't think we've had this issue prior (spicy's obtuse way of handling things notwithstanding).

i kinda get his point in that your video takes a while to get to the meat of the matter (incl. the wipe); the notes you wrote in the process of reaching the pop could probably also be summarized in alternate format to cut some of the filler. it just didn't seem like a video that needed to be 8min long? dunno.

i'm not saying you can't advertise yourself or stopping you from making videos, for what it's worth.

If you don't enjoy what I do, then don't watch it. Also you can spew all the ***you want, more entertainment for me, this post is not an attempt to stop anyone from doing anything. I love you all, even if you hate me, that's the least I can do for you.

I mean look. Youtube pays you to extend your videos. More eyeballs, more longer, more money.

A "how to" shouldn't include too much(*) of the "advertising"

A showcase of "how to do this" and a "who I am" but get to the point.

"For youtube" and "for wiki" are two different genre.

Just my take on it. There are no "rules" only "expected etiquette"

like i looked at uh.. beaztmaster? 's sarama vid and the style is similar as a reference point - it ends with the usual self promo but it's succinct and I don't think it necessarily crosses any lines
