Election 2020 the horse race (Not misspelled)

Against him trying to bribe another four years out of people to stupid to understand it's a bribe.
Dems won't settle for 200 so here's 400! Vote me back in!
You really think the Dem's grandstanding isn't the exact same thing? You REALLY think Democrat politicians care about, "the little guy?" I never thought you to be so gullible.

Dems want to give more money, don't really care what reason they give. Doesn't matter. Whoever gives out the most loot wins.

Dumbest thing you've ever said TBH. On one hand, you call Trump's handout a political ploy, then say if he had given out MORE, it would be Ok.

Wow Trump walked out of his "press conference" today after getting fact checked live and told he was lying his *** off? Fun stuff. And some people think he pulled one over on Congress by signing illegal EOs. Right.
So you are against him signing EOs that give people on unemployment benefits an extra $400 (which I still don't understand why they need), extending payroll tax cuts and extending a moratorium on evictions?
Do you folks at least see how those of us not constantly Trump bashing think nothing he will do short of keeling over dead will satisfy the left? It really just looks like you guys get mad because Democrats can't stamp it as something they did.
Yes, believe it or not, I didn't support Obama trying to legislate via Executive Order, and neither did the Republicans. But now that Trump is trying (and failing) at it, the GOP is all of sudden A-OK with it. Everything he did today is illegal, and will be blocked immediately by the courts. None of that crap that he did today will come to pass until Congress passes their bill (which they will). It doesn't buy time, it doesn't create pressure, it doesn't do anything.
Perhaps then Clinton should not have set the modern era EO use. Clinton and Obama let the cats out of the bag, can't bash on a Republican president for doing the same thing of those you've supported in the past.
Bottom line though, at least Trump used his to actually try and help. If the House didn't try and fill their plan with pork that bailed out Democrat led cities and states, they could have avoided the use of EOs.

Fact is, if Trump was your boy, his named was spelled Obama, and he had done this very same thing because a Republican led House was being a~holes, you wouldn't have cared so much.

I mean, no, really. Much rather it be done the right way. Regardless who gets the credit. Pass 20 bills instead of jamming everything into one.
If Biden's team is smart they'll counter this with a "if you elect me I'll give everyone on UI $5000 to make up for the 25 weeks trump stole from you, I already signed the EO here it is, It's already signed and ready to go. I'll pass it the literal first second I take office"

Not a spin and I wasn't just talking to you. You guys have shown this to be true over and over again with your comments.

Ok, but I don't see any of you bashing on the House for making the "right way" improbable for shoving pork into a bill that's meant to just help everyone temporarily, not just their voting base.

This is "that ***"
Negotiate only the things relevant to covid. No military budget, no green new deal, no tax breaks, no slush funds.
UI. Eviction. PPP. More stimuli. Testing funds. That's it.
pass all the other ***in their own bills. This whole stuff everything possible into every bill as bargaining chips is full blown cancer.

It's complete spin. First you try to blame Clinton and Obama? How about no. Then you try to blame the House? Nah, not working. Trump's EOs are illegal, there is no one to blame but him. I mean where is the money even coming from? Thin air? His defense team has thus far done a terrible job of defending these orders in court, how are they gonna explain this one I wonder. Is he using monopoly money?

Put, "The House should..." before the word, "Negotiate" and all will be forgiven, Grasshopper.

Yeah this very situation has happened before, it's how we got the Dreamers. The DREAM act was defeated and never passed due to Republicans not liking it. In return President Obama use's his Pen and Phone to draft an EO telling the State Department and DHS not to enforce removal orders against those who had been brought to the US as children. Obama quite literally ordered DHS not to follow the enforce the law.
What Obama did was undoubtedly Unconstitutional, yet it was likely necessary at that time. I supported him signing that EO btw.

Is it not implied? No one else can negotiate bills.... so what else could it possibly mean.

The House is negotiating, and they will continue to, as soon as the GOP comes back to the table they walked away from so they could accomplish nothing. just like with the Cares Act, we are waiting on the GOP.

I just like to see it. I wanna feel the nervous tension in your fingers as you actually blame Democrats equally for this. I know I would never get such logic in a political discussion from Vic so you're my only hope!

"We." Ok calm down, you're not actually an elected official, I hope you know this. Like, you don't really play for the Cubs so I hope you don't say, "we" when talking shop on sports, too.
The House only negotiated length of time, they refused to remove the pork that is holding up the deal.

This is what they're negotiating.
There was a really good break down of what is exactly in each category, but I can't remember what day I saw it. So I can't find it now.
The lions share of the problem is the State Aid (which covers schools and testing), it's not even the UI

I'm assuming the smaller numbers mean millions? So Republican's version gives State and Local Aid 105 million and the Democrats is 1.118 billion? Yeah...that's a bit of a divide.

Sure would like to know what entails, "Other Measures." $627 (I assume) "million" is quite a bit of money for, "Other."

Dems want to give 1.1 Trillion to states.
Reps want to give 1.1 Trillion TOTAL.
By Prong 2020-08-08 23:22:36
Wait, so Republicans want $105 billion for State and Local Aid? Then why is their little red line like, 1/8th as long as the blue Dem's line and they are wanting less? Am I just not reading a decimal right or something?
