Its almost sounds like there should be an improved version of the academy for police offers to have training and that this curriculum on the theory and practice of law enforcement should be constantly improved and there should be some city/state oversight on what would be considered tolerable expectations. too bad the american education system sucks and city oversight in most cases is garbage ~

I know for the austin police its more than that. there's physical fitness and mental evaluations. polygraph tests, written exams etc ~ its a big process

and once you're enrolled ~ iirc its a 3-strike rule. So basically if you fail 3 exams you're dropped from the academy and can't retry for some time.
