Remember that the people at the WHO are including in the people I'm talking about.

Money caused them to hide information. They sold out their own countries for money. (allegedly, supposedly, whatever)

Right and back we are here again, "Money is the route of all evil."

Ok sooooooooo, how do we reconcile our global necessity to exchange goods and services for a currency?

That's the fundamental disconnect. It doesn't have to be about winning. Do the right thing for the right reason.

If it doesn't work. eat the L and try something else. The only thing 100% certain to fail is what we did. Nothing.

I don't agree we did nothing. China deliberately hid this for months, told nobody, then even after it came out tried to deny it's severity for a couple more months, with the help of the WHO.

Trump would have literally had to have a crystal ball to know what was the right thing to do and when to do it. No president would have handled this well, none of them.

dont forget that they 'disappeared' the doctor who tried to warn the world. locked him in a cell, forced him to sign an apology letter saying he was lying about everything, and then he mysteriously died of 'covid' a few days later.

could always go back to the way we used to do it, and just go rape and pillage another country any time we needed extra food/goods/***.

That guy was a *** hero. And one of the most touching stories I ever read, his wife was pregnant before he got sick and gave birth not long after he died.

If that story doesn't make someone's knees weak, they don't have a soul.

Even something as simple as cut the greed factor by like 25%. Pay a little more, cost a little less, we don't need billionaires. (it doesn't automatically mean everything must cost more if people make more)

Yes, but he did get the story out, and no one listened (greed). Plus we had a branch of the CDC IN China that would've seen it, that was cut.

So, government regulating what someone can charge for their products/services and then, regulating how much money you can make?

Eh.

Still trying to blame this on Trump, not working.

And again no, it doesn't require regulation. Just doing the right thing for the right reason. Instead of a billion dollars profit, you make 800 million but all your employees get that 200million... you won't even miss it.

They locked him into a cage like an animal
They literally beat him

They literally made him sign a letter saying he made it all up.

he then died in that cage a few days later from lung failure.

and here's NPR - one of the most reputable broadcasting stations in history, just bending over backwards to suck the CCP's micro-***.

Ok well....how you going to make people do that? You're talking about something even more impossible than destroying society and rebuilding it...you are talking about changing the entire fabric and psyche of the human mammal. Great thought but, not even in the realm of possibilities.

sorry lol. NPR whitewashing what the CCP did to that man, and trying to make it out like they just gave him a slap on the wrist and said sorry after the fact, makes me want to actually vomit knowing that an actual american could willingly obfuscate what the CCP did. That one act literally has killed humdreds of thousands of people if not millions of people world wide, and they just go *** balls to chin over the CCP.

and i say millions, because we know china is lying about their numbers. if we use america is an example of when a large population is exposed, then they can be assumed to have the same .00004 mortality rate that we do, which translates into roughly 600k deaths. india being in the same boat, is about another 500k deaths.

we know that the american performance with covid, is well within the realms of realistic, because they aren't an outlier, and are fairly low ranked in terms of mortality particularly given our size and reporting density. most european countries are still performing far worse than we are in terms of mortality.

if we gauged china and india based on some of the european countries, they'd be over a million dead in both reigons.

Oh China is absolutely lying about their numbers. Every time I see a media story, in text or on TV where they show a list featuring, "Number of Covid cases/deaths per country" and China is on the list, but WAY down the list, I automatically know whatever media outlet that decided to post that and NOT at bare minimum, mention China is probably lying either fears the backlash on social media for making "ethnocentric" comments or they have financial interests inside of China.

Kayleigh McEnany: ‘Science Should Not Stand in the Way’ of Reopening Schools
The Daily Beast

And before you say it, would any right wing site even mention this?

They seem to be narrowing their "science" down to the children only. Maybe the kids can teach themselves? It's not safe for teachers to go back to schools. Hence why so many school districts are moving to remote learning for all or parts of the semester.

The question then still remains, what about the kids too poor to have home internet (or too rural) or a PC to do remote learning, even if the parents were able to not work so they could stay at home and help them?

Not many elementary school kids have the maturity/depth of thought yet to school themselves while mommy and/or daddy are at work...and it's actually illegal to leave children under a certain age unattended. Remote learning simply is not an option for those people (and there are more of those people than you think). This, again, just *** poor people more than middle class/wealthy people.

Democrats don't care about rural poor, they are usually white and vote Republicans.

We have known since the beginning of this that the economy couldn't get going fully again until we figured out child care. We haven't figured it out yet. So when the press secretary gets out there and says the science supports fully reopening schools so kids can attend in person classes everyday, she is lying. The science does not support that, because there is more to schools than just the students. They are completely ignoring the role of teachers and it doesn't work.

If it just comes down to teachers and their fears, then have a TV/monitor set up in the classrooms and the teacher can remote into it from home?

Adults have to be in the building, children can't take care of themselves. Child safety does matter.

Yes, but their standing argument is children can't (don't easily?) spread it. There is no arbitrary age where spreading can't happen.

It stands to reason if 16 year olds can spread it, and infants can spread it, then all the ages in between can spread it.

Also, the argument will be "well one nurse clearly had it and she infected all the infants"

Ok. And the "lunch lady" in school that gets it and spreads it to all the kids is the exact same scenario.

Florida has a 30% positivety rate among tested children, and over 7k total cases are children so, yes children can get infected and spread it.

You could be right, but there are huge physiological differences between infants, prepubescent kids, and teenagers. The infection rate could very well follow a "bathtub curve" or some similar variant with a dip between early to late childhood.

many diseases do exactly this- where they only hurt the very young, and the very old.

the point is that children, even if they CAN transmit it, have virtually no chance at developing significant symptoms, or ever being effected by it - and if we build sufficient herd immunity though children being exposed to it while they are safe from harm, that helps everyone in the long run.
