Yeah that's just called Hypocrisy. Your beliefs are your beliefs so long as it is convenient. You're ok to take 1,000 USD because you need it now. But when you didn't need it, you weren't ok with others having it, when they need it.

you're looking at the correlation of the disease and deaths in the wrong way.
It is the elderly that have the highest fatality rate. Most people don't experience anything other than symptoms similair to the common cold. "80% experience mild symptoms".
Estimates are there are at least 10-15% of the population who have been infected with Covid-19, months ago, and are not even aware. That means they didn't even get sick, AT ALL.

The elderly, are the ones who experience strong symptoms, and of them only 4% are fatal.

Last time I checked, conservatives are mostly old people.

I think this article is very interesting and well explained but i dont think it was honest when comparing city quarentine to house quarentine. In the former they purposelly open the walls before people are cured. I dont see how, in terms of eficiency, one will be better or worse than the other

How China defeated Covid-19 in Wuham, population of 60,000,000

1. Deployed the national communications company (entirely owned by the government)
- More than 1 billion 2-way SMS/day campaign launched 8 days after first Covid-19 case in Wuhan.
SMS campaign was an interactive questionnaire that asked the receiver questions about symptoms

Based on the outcomes of the answers the users provided, medical support staff were deployed to the location to take them to the nearest hospital.


2. Alibaba developed an App that was downloaded by all smartphones (China enforced this through their telecommunications company. The App hijacked your phone, you had no choice)
They tracked your movement, and the phone would send you a loud message and vibrate when you were coming close to an area where a covid-19 case was reported. In addition to this, your own color code changed from green to orange to red.
Those who's color codes changed to red, were told to go to a specific hospital. If they didn't arrive at the hospital within 2 hours, they were literally picked up, wherever they were, and escorted by police to the hospital.
So the App categorized areas as well as individuals. Within 4 days of launching it, the App also alerted you if you were coming in close proximity to someone else, who was either confirmed to have covid-19 or suspected of it.
to use public transport, enter public areas you had to show your smart phone with the color code, that also had a QR code that the public workers would scan and confirm your status with.
This was also used to quarantine people and monitor their adherence to it.

3. Pudu technology
deployed robots to deliver food to healthcare patients, workers, and the elderly + the quarantined around Wuhan. Also provided more than 5,000 robots to the government for sterilization of some public spaces

Drones - used to augment and upgrade the inter city supply chain. 10,000 drones were deployed on a daily basis to ensure the healthcare sector were adequately supplied. The internal inventory management systems of the hospitals were integrated with AliBaba's A.I technology to ensure stock was always available.
Drones were also deployed with loud speakers to launch public communication, observe quarantines, facial recognition because many who tried to violate the quarantines would leave their smart phones at home.

(I think it says 50 or more temperatures above 37.3, or 5 or more temperatures above 37.3 in the last 50 minutes)

7.All the above data was fed into the state's super data warehouse where A.I automatically did things like redirect traffic, send out SMSs and all sorts of other stuff, as well as ensure adequate supply of food and pharma in retail.

Fair enough. Sorry to hear that. Most Brits I know cherish the NHS. Maybe its just your area?
I was in York once and got sick. Was a student and very little money. On the 3rd day I forced myself to go to the ED because I suspected it was pneumonia (and it was).
I was afraid of being turned away. The opposite happened. I wasn't allowed to leave. 3 days later I was discharged.
Compared to my experiences in New York and Virginia with the US healthcare, that was a very nice treat and warm memory for me.
