Today might be a scary day. Covid-19 isn't that scary but the way people are reacting is terrifying. Don't panic.
Thats impossible.
Suddenly rise a golden rule everyone who dont comply with their random and weird solutions became a trash.
The fearmongering is more dangerous that the virus itself. People dont need a second thought to insult others that question forced quarentine or the disease.
Im sick of those guys. I dont know who started this mess and who patronized all this advertisement but one thing for sure, they managed to get the humanity by its balls. Impressive how the society just got demolished because some random disease. Nothing to justify people stopping work stopping daily activity, quarantening sick and healthy people alike. Being sick till proven healthy is like being guilty till proven innocent.

In an office (white collar) job you are very almost exclusively on a salary in the UK. Blue collar jobs are wages typically.
Salary = paid sickness
Wage = not paid

That’s typically how it works here, but there is a noticeable grey area where it can go either way. I’m only guessing at this point, but that might have something to do with our unions? Some people really like the hourly wages because they can rack up overtime like nobody’s business, and salaried employees can be exploited to work extra hours without due compensation.
I’ve done both and I prefer salary, but that’s mainly because of the flexibility and security, and it’s very rare that I have to work extra in my position anyway.

Typically. Some office workers are salary here. Some service sector jobs are contracts which are neither.

Haven't seen the local Italian here in some time.
*Korea has been testing 20,000 people a week for months, as of monday the US has tested a bit over 14,000. Total.
