As for blowing the whistle, people have blown it way before.
Employees are aware, they read this forum and some of them were in the know for years but choose to keep quiet. People's jobs are at stake, Japan won't joke with that.
That's why I keep silent about a lot of things, you don't toy with people's jobs.
However, if nothing is done within the week, I'll at least inquire about the why, just to be aware.
But, just to reiterate, there may be a ton of collateral damage when/if SE acts on this exploit. I wouldn't expect an action within less than 1/2 months, if not 3. The scope is way too big, even with automated checks.

And there are a few people in this situation. One of them I don't mind if he gets ***, he's an idiot, others are neutral people.
But just to be clear, this exploit is really dumb, the only thing that isn't allowing every single player to use this exploit is simply the lack of thinking about it (I'm totally part of those lol).

Would not surprise me if GMs are involved. The job is boring and most of the time we played Xbox or Playstation while waiting for calls when i worked there (EU). It's a boring job with bad pay in a city that is way overpriced (London). Why not make some extra Money with this.

Sure you can complete this Empyrean in 5 minutes, but what are you going to do once you have them all?
The whole point of the game is to play it, shortcuts are the polar opposite.
I do find it really tempting to R15 a weapon instantly or complete another Daurdabla in 5min but even if I absolutely loathed farming the first one, I'll farm it when the time comes.
But to each their own I guess.

If they don't, then tomorrow will be the same as today for all of us. Nothing will change.
So, in short, to report this efficiently, the lua has to be shared or, time/character when the exploit was used (or even safer, simply a screenshot showing the items received, no character needed). The reports on the OFs or anywhere else will be ignored as they lack either and therefore, lack any source.

I'd dare to say it's the primary one or has been the primary for a long time if I'm wrong.
As for #1 there are surely a lot of people and their "friends", but it's a large minority.
It has to be, because when something becomes widespread it gets patched, it's as simple as that.
Always been this way since the beginning of FFXI.
So yeah, lot of people but a minority compared to #2 and, these days, #3a
Don't forget people who fall under both 3a and 1 btw :D Most of those who are "smart enough" to know tricks not many know about, usually do own a lot of accounts.
The only difference with "proper" #3a is that they don't spend a lot of time in game.

Take Mythics, for example, even if you buy the gil for it there is still Assaults, Einherjar and Nyzul Isle. Assaults = All Seeing Eye, Einherjar can be botted, and Nyzul isle is flee hacking, maintenance mode and fillmode 0.
Stuff like the ones you mentioned is clearly bad, but then again it has such a minimal impact on the community/economy that I can't really put it on the same level as something that creates/duplicates items artificially without any limit.
