Medals - A discussion REBORN!
DirectX said: » Ok, the trick is this. You have to use allwarps or superwarp to warp to the Home Point in Al Zhabi. Then, once you have zoned there the HP will be visible. If you trade it a Medal it will give you 99 back. Go try it. Omg it worked! I now have 100 stacks thank youuuuuuu Quetzalcoatl.Mithlas said: » DirectX said: » Ok, the trick is this. I should probably get some coffee before posting again.

I haven't thought about that old relic in years. And you're saying that to completely negate the damage they would have to roll back the servers to 2013? That's when they changed the home point system to allow warping from one home point to another. It's also when they added all the extra home point crystals to all the outlands zones so we could warp to whatever BCNM or arena we needed to. So the gist of this is that through sphaghetti code the change to the home point crystal system in 2013 opened up a loophole with the one home point they deleted, and any app that allowed you to "see" wat was hidden server side enabled you to interact with it. Because normal players aren't supposed to be able to interact with it they didn't bother coding it with security checks, and now this is apparently happening? That about right or am I way off base? I have zero desire to find out personally. I want nothing to do with this whole mess. But as an IT professional IRL, the inner workings behind this issue have me curious about its general nature. /wooooosh I can confirm ??? for Aurix is gone on Bahamut

No one should warp to Al Zhabi. DirectX is a troll. Assume this is basically the same exploit as years ago. Where people got AG weapons instantly(when they were 3k Cinders/Dross). Recall people talking about it on BG when the announcement of no more major updates happened.
Quote: Current Known Issue (Nov. 12) We have confirmed an issue with the “???” (D-8) located in Ru’Lude Gardens. As such, this location has temporarily been removed, and will be notified once the issue is resolved. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. Guess it's time to see exactly which people I know in-game that have used the glitch disappear to the ban hammer (if anyone)
Fun playin with you guys while it lasted if you all go *poof* That guy got wooshed hard af.
Quote: (sarcasm) I figured it probably was. Like some of the others I'm more than just a bit curious as to how the heck people are pulling this off. Whenever this mess is patched out It'll be interesting to know just how the heck this happened. I have no desire to get involved with this mess, and I'm sure whatever consequences s-e dishes out are well deserved, but the technical aspect behind this is interesting if nothing else. If its fixed now then someone can spill the beans?
The invisible dancing tarus whisper: its not fixed, they just removed access to the bleed out.
it was all a over 9000 IQ move to get SE to remove the ??? to enable the real exploit.
dude stop asking for the exploit, no one is going to tell you.
no one is going to tell you once it's fixed either. if ffxiah staff has half a brain. Senkyuutai, you do not know what you're talking about. stop crying wolf. you want to pretend like you're in the know but you aren't Artsncrafts said: » post the damn lua / exploit already Artsncrafts said: » I WANT HEADS TO ROLL Artsncrafts said: » If its fixed now then someone can spill the beans? I'm getting mixed signals from you bud First you were calling people out even if they weren't involved, then you wanted the Lua, now you want heads to roll but also want the exploit what's going on here character conflict? Ya'll will be in my History of Final Fantasy XI when I finally get to 2019.
Can we return to the drama days of crafting torques equipped in every slot instead of this? The real exploit is the friends we made along the way
