1.1 Download

2.1 Installation


Open FFXIAwakening.rar
Open the folder FFXIAwakening
Locate Final Fantasy XI folder, usualy ------> C:\Program Files (x86)\PlayOnline\SquareEnix\FINAL FANTASY XI
Replace all the sound folder in Final Fantasy XI folder by the ones found in FFXIAwakening




2.2 Uninstall

Simply drag and drop/replace all the sound folders in Final fantasy XI with the ones in the folder Backup(1-9)
That way you can always enjoy FFXI original music if you wish to sometimes!

The only party dungeon battle music is Not Alone

I actually made a few sound mods myself a while back so I can appreciate what you've done here. However, as a suggestion for simple forum tidiness, please, remove the ============ from the thread title though. If the thread is worth sticking out, it will be bumped naturally by people posting.

Why would anybody want to remove FFXI music? FFXI music is fantastic.

I could understand an orchestra version of the music to replace it with...

I modded the FFXI music years ago. Its called Pandora.

I thought there was going to be some original FFXI inspired music, disappointing. :(

The possibilities of an OST Overhaul with Orch/Remake is still in my Vision. But for now it wasn't what i was looking for.

I was thinking the same thing, but can't fault someone who loves music for creating compilations they believe enhance the experience. I do hope this project eventually has new versions of the FFXI tracks and new original tracks for zones that currently have no music. I think an alternative to the maddening mount music would also be well received. Keep on keepin' on.

Protip: If you raise a chocobo of your own and register the whistle with the mount NPC, you can hear the Chocobo theme instead of that annoying mount music.
