Handouts are handouts. Its not hard at all.

Making up excuses to justify handouts doesn't change the fact they are handouts. The sad thing is they aren't helping the farmers that are getting killed by Trump's stupid trade war.

They totally like the idea of government owning the means of production.... until they realize much later that people are part of the means of production.

This is a perfect example of liberal logic, welfare is neither socialism nor it's goal of communism.

Both Socialism and Communism is merely the government owning the "means of production". Means of production would be business's that provide goods and services to people. Fundamentally this involves the concepts of private vs communal property. Free exchange of goods and services, otherwise known as Capitalism, is what brings prosperity to society and has demonstrated such for the past ~7,000 years of human history. The government interfering with this free exchange by leveraging a monopoly of force to stifle slows down or reverses this prosperity.

Now believe it or not some amount of government control is necessary because otherwise you get a society run by those with the greatest economic skills which ends up being inhumane and soul crushing. Too much government intervention ends up with the opposite effect, society run by those with the greatest bureaucratic skills which is equally inhumane and soul crushing.

Good thing there are no commies here, never have been. Its just the latest insult for the alt-right.
