I do agree that the healthcare costs is growing crazily and premiums do too.

I just don't think price fixing and single payer healthcare is the correct solution. I don't think the ACA is correct, tho it was a neat try, even though I object to it on many grounds.

I'd like to see Tort reform. Tho I don't think that is the main proponent to drive the cost up.

Not everyone who is under the deferral program came here specifically for treatment. Not everyone who gets treatment expects to pay for it themselves. Not everyone who came here for a legitimate reason has the intention of leaving when their welcome expires. And yes, some use delay tactics to prolong treatment so that they stay legal longer.

So I tried a reverse image search to check it out. TinEye gave me 13 hits. Everyone was a broken link.

Admittedly I don't image search often and hardly ever try a reverse, but that's weird.

Yeah the scale of your federal government is pretty staggering if you try to imagine it tangibly. Doubt most people can accurately imagine what 4.4 trillion looks like.

These are pretty wild claims. So you are trying to allege that people that got a medical deferment fooled the government, repeatedly, and are staying here on a medical deferment, without getting treatment? Not believable. As stupid as the government is, even moreso under Trump, medical treatment leaves a paper trail a mile long, I've already stated that. Its such a small program, and there is no evidence of abuse that I have seen. Feel free to produce some. Chanti's article literally stated there are only about 20 people in Boston that expect to be affected. Not exactly an avenue for abuse.

Secondly, the payments are privately funded. Its not taxpayer funded treatment. We aren't paying their medical bills anymore than we are paying for KN's doctor visits. Its not a charity program, they aren't getting a free ride courtesy of Uncle Sam. Nausi can scream as loud as he wants that we are paying for it in exchange for their votes, he's lying. As usual.

Its also not really believable that this small group of people is "prolonging treatment" for things like HIV, leukemia, cancer, etc. These are the diseases that people in the program are here for, and considering how FATAL they are, you know, how they get worse without proper treatment, just not seeing that avenue for abuse. Especially if a child is involved.

Rav, seeing as Splinter is kinda lefty biased I wanted to check and see if white nationalist websites used that image.

I tried a reverse image search to check it out. Every single hit save one was a dead link. The one was a Trump flag for sale that used it.

I may be totally useless at reverse image searches. I tried several engines, TinEye gave me the most hits, a few others gave me some, a few more kinda said WTF are you trying to do.

So if you are good at reverse image searches, please search and tell us what you find.

I did, there is absolutely no evidence that their long term medical treatment is publicly funded by US tax dollars. I asked for that evidence two pages ago, so far, zip. Its not even believable that their application for a medical deferment would be granted without the means to pay for said medical care. These people have serious diseases, without treatment they die. Like I keep saying, not really a lot of wiggle room for abuse. But I will continue to wait for evidence showing otherwise.

You ask for proof that they received government funded health benefits knowing damn well we can't access that kind of personal data. So I'll ask you for proof that they paid for the entire process without using tax payer assistance. You already said they don't have access to government funded health assistance and Chanti's link, which you say you read, says otherwise. You even clarify your stance and say that they pay for the healthcare they receive here.


So again, don't deflect, post a source that shows that medical deferrals do not receive government funded health benefits. So far, the ONLY source provided in this entire discussion, which again you said you read, says otherwise.

I like how you snipped off the end of that lawyer's statement that said no one is getting a free ride because it undercuts your entire "argument." Nothing you said is accurate. They have to obtain a medical visa to come here in the first place, this is well before they are eligible to get a job here and start receiving some work benefits. So they have to show they are able to pay for their treatment, or their insurance is paying for it, before even getting into the country.

Chanti's source did not make any claims that contradict this. So until you guys start posting sources that back up the WILD ideas that this program is a charity funded by the taxpayers (which would be public information), or people are staying here on a medical deferral without getting treatment (thats the best one btw, thanks Rav!), or people are staying beyond their visas after their treatment ends, or these people are voting, I'm not doing your work for you. Chanti's source backs me up, it doesn't back up a single thing we have heard from the naysayers that have not posted any sources, nor have they even attempted to find any. Which of course, I said right away wouldn't happen.
