Besides, I doubt I will ever be MNK for anything in my shell.
My BLM is that good, much better than my Black Belt Monk with current gear (i.e. Byakko's panties, Kirin's Osode, etc.)
And, I don't really know anything about MNK. I heard two contradictory statements: STR/VIT are god and Acc/Att are god for MNKs. For TP and WSs on both.
So, until I do a little research and ***, my MNK is going to stay at 15.
Oh, and a side note, my Destroyer's are already broken (thanks from my WAR) so its not like I have to worry about those anyway.

Too bad, you still can't get Black belt even with all the items. Pre-requisite for the quest to get Black belt is 71 MNK.

Ludo. Good job at pointing out the obvious of holding items for a black belt. But you can't turn the items over into a black belt until you're MNK71. Good job though. Good job.

That doesn't prove anything Lu.
You still HAVE to have MNK71 to turn in all those items into Black Belt.
Just because you HAVE the items doesn't mean you can convert it to a black belt now.

Still inventory -3 for Korpg. Most ppl could care less if you have all the items. 2-3 years ago you might have been able to have a couple angry ppl, this late into the game ppl will just think he's an idiot for wasting space.
Questing Brown belt isn't stupid b/c you can sell the belt and quest it at any lvl.
Anyways on topic, I'd suggest just camping the nm. Drop is 100% so you don't have to worry about crappy drop rates after working to claim. ToD isn't too bad, just start camping it after maints. First 3-4 days you'll have competition most likely, but after a couple ppl get tired of camping/can't make camps/get their drops there isn't much opposition.

It's a very easy NM to camp. It's not all that much trouble to just stand there afk to get ToD.
At the very least, Contaminated Coliseum (Though a total waste of 30 seals) is easy to solo on a few jobs.
Plus the NM has been up everytime I went through that area (Granted, that's only about 4 times total but still).
But what if he/she/it does use them?
Seriously, monk's the easiest DD in the game to understand the concept of. We have the WS that hits the attacks per round cap, and even at 95% accuracy which is the game's cap, you will still have a full return approximately 67% of the time, so ACC/ATT are gods for that WS. However, we also have Howling Fist/Dragon Kick/Ascetic's Fury, which have STR/VIT modifiers above 10% unlike Asuran Fists, so those modifiers are worth looking at then.
Moral of the story: ACC/Haste/ATT for TP phase, ACC/ATT for Asuran Fists, STR/VIT for HF/DK/Ascetic's, VIT for Chakra, etc.
And unless on birds, don't use any variant of sushi. Marinara Pizza +1 onry.

About how much would it cost to buy these items from HNMLS? I'm poor as all ***, but I'd like to be able to get Black Belt.
With my recent acquisition of a khroma ore(from my first ISNM, whee), I'll still have less than 1 million gil...I don't even know of any Bahamut-based HNMLS to ASK.
Perhaps blue gartr? I haven't the slightest clue.
Pretty much having the items for black belt(as well as at least okote again) are the only things holding me back form getting MNK up the 34 levels to 75.

Black Belt items run about 2M each, with Adamantoise Egg usually being the highest (4M on my server) because it's like a 10% drop rate from Adamantoise or lower.
That being said, 2 of the 3 NMs are soloable provided you manage to get claim, which really shouldn't be that bad since bots are getting banned FINALLY.

If Repentance still around after Belkin RMTed his char, they probably do, otherwise you go sit at HNM spawn and do /say /shout after its dead.
My friend said he got all 3 BB Items for 4.3M, not sure on prices for each though.

The drop rate of all of them off of NQ spawns is crap, it's a 100% off of the HQ pops tho... That being said the 2mil a item price is kinda ridiculous but i guess people do shell out the gil for it.
Anyway the NM is really not that bad, i only had to spend like 2 days in there to get the vine and the majority of that was afk.. and since i was going to finish brown so i could do black, it was well worth it.
What i don't understand is mnk71 pre-req to unlock a quest for a lvl 70 item, i could swear I was in an exp party in which my friend dinged lvl 70 monk and equipped his belt..
I got mine at 75 so i wouldn't know for sure but I was relatively sober when this happened so i don't think my memory would be distorted
