Luck of the Draw: A Corsair's Guide *NEW*
Thank you. Learned quite a bit by this, appreciate your time in making it
This is great since I basically just sit in town and tweak gearsets that I think I would use but then sit in wardrobe until I de-gear that job and build more gearsets that seem cool! rinse/repeat Cerberus.Goldenfoon

Thank you guys, Very easy to understand and follow for a new and up and coming COR, keep up the good work.
OH! I Love the cape section being added. And Food. Looks like food section is missing attack foods though.
That's a nice addition. Cape section also makes me very sad. Too many u_u;; Offline

Thanks for the support! There are entirely way too many gear sets that are being used, so there could be errors or mistakes somewhere, or options overlooked.
Please don't hesitate to PM or reply directly if there are more suitable gears that could be used. Offline

Checking spreadsheet rq, For melee COR and NQ v.s NQ at least, surprisingly Carbonara seems to out perform or at least equal to behemoth steak if attack is not capped. Melee COR really really benefits from STP. Carbonara also has MUCH bigger HP boost than steak, so it kinda compensate melee COR's biggest weakness which is survivability. I can check ranged DD situations but personally I would suggest carbonara for meleeing if acc is capped. Offline

This is amazing and something aspiring CORs should read multiple times
I flip my coin to you sir. I'll be making a few tweaks to my job after I go through this again. 10/10
Since you have carbonara as recommended stp food, might I suggest arrabbiata as well? A bit more attack along with ranged attack on it.

Yeah, definitely Arrabbiata is superior all the way around. The downside is availability. Carbonara is at the Curio Moogle. Doesn't seem like many ppl are crafting Arrabbiata. I'll make a note of it tho, in case ppl have access to it. Very true about availability. I had to wait at least a week before I could get my hands on parsley (due to conquest), while dragon meat can be in stock during the popular voidwatch campaign, but a bit scarce outside that.
This one ain't bad too:
very nice guide. You may want to make a note that on herc feet you cannot get agi/racc/stp on ranged path as far as I know. STP and Racc only shows up on melee with cap of 5(6) stp. Magic can roll 7(8) stp but no Racc.
Not sure I'd recommend thaumas coat for any set. No magic evasion and low acc compared to item level pieces. It also affects trust levels if you're in a situation with trusts.

DA+10 vs STP+10 for TP cape? Was under the impression cor generally went with STP version, but don't see it listed. Which would see more use?
Well this was quite the surprise. Also kind of surprised I didn't get to know about it beforehand. There's a couple things I think you should go over a bit more and maybe link to the wiki on the rolls for fast lookup or add the cheat sheet I'm about to put on the wiki. When I'm home I'll pm one of you two.
Very nice guys. Offline
