Desperate times. Sure, kid. We've got control of the country. Trump still has an average approval rating near what Obama had for most of his second term in spite of vastly more negative media coverage. You've got a very weak candidate bench with one of the most abysmal midterm election comeback prospects in ages.

Our sticking points on the shutdown are campaign promises that got Trump elected. Your sticking point is a program that even Obama said would be temporary, along with a leaked memo that said you mainly need the DACA kids for the sake of your future voting base.

I'm glad to know that Republicans automatically get the blame for every shutdown even with it's the Dems doing the same thing you were screaming about Republicans doing before, though. It really brings out that blind, partisan flair.

Lol Trumps avg approval rating hasnt been higher than 41% since what? March 2017? No president has ever been this unpopular that early in their term. Nobody is worried about 2020, there will be no incumbent advantage and all that needs to be done is take back Pennsylvania and Michigan, two blue states. We are excited for 2018 as the GOP is running away in droves. Straight up lying about our midterm prospects, cute. And yes the GOP gets blamed when they shut down the govt.
