also, religion = slave and a slave will ALWAYS stab you in the back- like bad stuff on you, cuz slaves never win.
In the Roman and Ottoman empires slaves could, and sometimes did, win.

"Caught lying" is in your words, and is a stretch. It sounds like Sekulow just flat out didn't know that Trump Jr. wasn't covered by the Secret Service at the time.

So Donald Trump Jr's narrative is that the meeting is no big whoop after "pretending " it never happened for a year; in order to be transparent so that nobody gets hit in the head with a 60lb bag of drugs?

Sounds like it's his job to know.

Just like how it's the Secretary of State's job to know how to properly handle classified information?

The point is that what people in government should know but don't could fill volumes. Although in this case it's hard to say what an outside lawyer is supposed to know about the details of Secret Service coverage....

Asking his client would have been too much trouble.

Because no client is more accessible for answering off-the-cuff inquiries that might come up in media interviews than the President of the United States.

It's the lawyer's job to blow smoke and obfuscate for his client. He did just that or at least tried to.

Let's presume for a moment that you're right, he knew, and he lied on purpose. You're literally saying he was just doing his job, so you're basically destroying your own right to complain about it.

Under that type of logic; supporting the Trump narrative that the meeting with Russia is just politics destroys your right to complain about Hillary's buttery males.

Did Trump Jr. commit a crime? Did he put national security at risk?

He appears to have violated 11 CFR 110.2 (h). Campaign Finance Reform laws were put in place to protect National Security from Foreign Interests via compromised political actors.

Appears to be yes and yes.

But it's all just harmless politics right??

Upon reading the statute, you are clearly full of poop. I guess you heard this on CNN.

"(h)Contributions to committees supporting the same candidate. A multicandidate political committee may contribute to a candidate or his or her authorized committee with respect to a particular election and also contribute to a political committee which has supported, or anticipates supporting, the same candidate in the same election, as long as -

(1) The recipient political committee is not the candidate's principal campaign committee or other authorized political committee or a single candidate committee;

(2) The multicandidate political committee does not give with the knowledge that a substantial portion will be contributed to, or expended on behalf of, that candidate for the same election; and

(3) The multicandidate political committee does not retain control over the funds.

Can someone do us all a favor and articulate what you think Donald Trump Jr did that was illegal. I will list what took place as we understand it.

1) Donald Trump Jr was contacted by a third party that promised incriminating dirt on Hillary Clinton that was supposedly discovered by the Russian Government.

2) Donald Trump Jr says in a nutshell "I love it" and wants to meet the person with the information. He is told he would be meeting a Russian government attorney.

3) Trump Jr goes to the arranged meeting with Natalia Veselnitskaya, who is actually not a Russian government attorney and actually has zero incriminating evidence on Hillary Clinton.

4) Trump Jr, Jared Kushner and Paul Manafort are present for a sales pitch on why the Magnitsky Act sucks from the lobbyist, Natalia Veselnitskaya.

5) The meeting lasts approximately 20 minutes.

Did I miss anything?

There's nothing illegal in that meeting, that's the thing. But people tend to forget that. Sure it may not be a good thing, but it's not illegal. In fact, it's textbook example of playing politics. You want an advantage over someone, and if that party has confirmed evidence, then the people deserve to know these things if she's going to be running for office.

The problem here is that our general population is ignorant, and until people start to understand what is and what is not illegal, we'll keep hearing "IMPEACHMENT" or "TREASON" or "PERJURY" or "SEDITION" blah blah blah.

Now, if Sekulow lied under oath, then it'd be a crime, but he's currently not under oath.

I'll give you that due to a typo:

11 CFR 110.20 (h) Is the correct one. See the difference?
Quote:

ยง 110.20 Prohibition on contributions, donations, expenditures, independent expenditures, and disbursements by foreign nationals (52 U.S.C. 30121, 36 U.S.C. 510).

(h)Providing substantial assistance.

(1) No person shall knowingly provide substantial assistance in the solicitation, making, acceptance, or receipt of a contribution or donation prohibited by paragraphs (b) through (d), and (g) of this section.

(2) No person shall knowingly provide substantial assistance in the making of an expenditure, independent expenditure, or disbursement prohibited by paragraphs (e) and (f) of this section.

Except there are rules to how one commissions and obtains oppositional research. You're right the general population is ignorant but it's not portion you are alluding to.
