Please Help With Xbox One Controller

I've kept Windows XP all of this time just so I can use my Xbox 360 controller. With Windower not supporting XP anymore, i'm forced to purchase a new pc. I have Windows 10 now, and using a wired Xbox One Controller. I'm having the same issues that I've had with every version of windows 7+ where the triggers aren't being read. The other buttons are fine.

I've read a lot of people saying to try to use the Alternative Setup E in the ffxiconfig program, but mine only has Alternative Setups A-C.

Before I break this thing, can someone please give me some more ideas to try?

i have been using xboxone controller for ffxi for years no problems was using it this morning and no problems but all of a sudden its not working i removed it from pc and rediscovered at and still nothing it works with all other pc games so why will it no longer work on ffxi please help

Did you get a Windows udpate? Have you tried rebooting?

ezpz. I use a xbox one wired controller! What I did to get it working is by installing the xbox360 accessories (controller) app and it worked like a charm.

Pick the options for your applicable system. If you are running 64 bit, pick that or 32 bit, pick that. If you are running win10 just use the win7 version. It will give you an error each time you start-up the PC but it works!

As far as ik this is the only way to get it working for FF11. GL!

um, you shouldn't be getting that

Pretty sure that if you disable xboxstat.exe (you don't need this) it will get rid of that startup error.

If you are using a xbox 360 controller, you don't get the error. Just when you are using an xbox1 controller ^^

Lol thanks sooooo much i had to end up getting another laptop once my old Toshiba laptop died so i went with Alienware 17 which has windows 10. I spent 2 days trying to get it to work until i came across ur suggestion got it to work in minutes. big ups to u.
